If you’re determined to have a four-legged friend:
- Keep it out of the bedroom and off of furniture.
- Replace your carpet with tile or hardwoods.
- Vacuum with a HEPA filter and use a HEPA air purifier to trap dander.
- Try to have someone who doesn’t have allergies brush the pet regularly, outside.
- Bathe the pet once a week.
- Talk to your doctor about allergy treatment.
