EUGENE -- The OSAA Class 6A, 5A and 4A boys and girls track and field championships concluded Saturday at Hayward Field. Here are some of main story lines from the day's competition.

Outstanding athletes honored
Six athletes picked up Outstanding Athlete of the Meet awards from the OSAA. The awards honored the top point earner from each meet. The winners:

4A girls: North Valley's Baylee Touey
The senior won all three sprints, taking the 100, 200 and 400 while repeating as champion in the 200 and 400. She added the 100 by beating the defending champion, Natalie Cummings of Astoria, by 0.28 seconds. Touey also ran a relay leg and finished with 31.25 of North Valley’s 47 points, which placed it in fourth place.

5A girls: Camille Weaver, Summit
The senior won the triple jump, 100 hurdles and high jump and finished second in the long jump. That gave her 38 points, part of Summit’s 189-point total as the Storm won their 11th consecutive team title.

6A girls: Deshae Wise, Grants Pass
The senior won the 100, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles and also ran in a relay to finish with 34.5 of Grants Pass’ 51 points, which left the Cavemen in second place. Wise won the 100 hurdles in 13.96 seconds, which would have been a meet record, but the wind was over the record threshold when the race was run.
