Northwest Best Showcase set to feature area's top prospects, 5 Pac-12 coaching staffs

The second annual Northwest Best Showcase kicks off Friday at 2 p.m. and is set to feature 350 of the region's top prospects, as well as five Pac-12 coaching staffs and coaches from nearly two dozen other programs.

Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen is expected to be among the guest speakers prior to approximately four hours of drills and one-on-one sessions that will be scouted closely by coaches from California, UCLA, Utah, Washington State, Boise State, Nevada, Fresno State, Hawaii, Eastern Washington, Montana, Portland State and a host of others.

Athletes headlining the event include Central Catholic four-star linebacker Eli'Jah Winston, Sprague two-way standout Teagan Quitoriano, class of 2019 All-American-caliber quarterback Dylan Morris, class of 2020 wide receivers Silas Starr (Central Catholic) and Gee Scott Jr. (Eastside Catholic) and top athletes from the Northwest's premier 7-on-7 programs - Ford Sports Performance, Rise Football, Team Lillard, EForce Fooball and AirOne Football.

Last year's event led to nearly 50 scholarship offers over the next few months, highlighted by Winston's offer from Oregon State during the camp.

According to Northwest Best Showcase coach coordinator Don Johnson, several Pac-12 schools are expected to bring multiple coaches, led by Oregon State, which is set to bring the NCAA-maximum 14 staff members.

Linemen check in at 2 p.m., followed by skill position players at 4 p.m.
