The Vikings’ biggest losses were sustained along the lines, in particularly Austin Brown, an honorable mention all-leaguer on both sides of the ball. Another player who did yeoman work in 2016 was Zach Ennis, all-league at running back and linebacker.

McKay will sorely miss Matthew Jarding, a first-team all-GVC linebacker and second-team running back in 2016. Another versatile player who landed three positions on the all-league team is senior Adolfo Lua, probably the GVC’s top kicker/punter last season. The Royal Scots must also replace quarterback Noah Tavera. The areas hit hardest by graduation were linebacker and the defensive secondary.
