About the Trust for the National Mall
Making the National Mall the best park in the world.
The Trust for the National Mall was founded in 2007 as an official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service. Our goal is to restore, improve and preserve America's Front Yard--a public space that evokes the pride and patriotism of our nation. We strongly believe that the National Mall should reflect our country's highest values, and in order to do so successfully, must be maintained to the highest of standards.
The Trust for the National Mall represents the largest public-private partnership in the history of the National Park Service and is responsible for bringing the National Mall Plan to life. The plan was approved by the Park Service in 2010, and contains a comprehensive blueprint and detailed action plan to enhance the National Mall's beauty, usefulness, and sustainablity.
Everybody has a stake in America's Front Yard. It is a place where all Americans, and people from around the globe, can gather to celebrate our freedoms, and the beauty of our nation's capital.
