The Human Performance Unit at the University of Derby’s new Sports Centre is the City’s leading sports performance centre. The £10.8 million sports centre opened in September 2015 and is fully equipped with facilities that include:
- 3 lane indoor sprint track & sand pit
- Strength and conditioning suite
- Research & human performance lab
- Physiotherapy suite
- 3G & 4G pitches
- Vicon 3-D camera system
- 8 badminton court sports hall (which also accommodates basketball, netball, futsal, volleyball, dodgeball, 5-a-side)
- Bouldering wall
