Radiography Courses at Derby

This is Radiography

  • Our course is accredited by the College of Radiographers and is also approved by the Health and Care Professions Council, meaning you’ll be eligible to apply to register with them as a diagnostic radiographer when you graduate
  • You’ll hone your skills in our diagnostic imaging suite, refurbished in 2016, which contains the latest in digital X-ray machines. We also have ultrasound equipment and an iDEXA scanner, which accurately images bone density and body composition. It’s a great learning environment to prepare you for the world of work
  • Placements include large teaching hospitals and community hospital departments. Experiencing a range of environments will help you to understand how different imaging departments work, witness the variations in imaging equipment provision, and help you to decide where you’d like to focus your career when you graduate
  • Our exciting curriculum will ensure you gain the skills employers seek. You’ll develop mentoring and leadership skills to help you to shape the next generation of radiographers and prepare you for your future role in improving health and social care services – a pertinent area of practice in today’s NHS.
