Lecturer in Sociology, specialized in Quantitative Methods and Political Sociology. Students are encouraged to contact me for an appointment to discuss their applied research projects and/or methodological questions.
Teaching responsibilities
I lead on the following modules: Researching the Social World; Sociological Research Methods 1: Qualitative and Quantitative Techniques; Sociological Research Methods 2: project.
I am also part of the teaching team of Thinking Sociologically; and Capitalism, Culture and Class: Social Theory in Classical Modernity.
Research interests
My interests lie in (Comparative) Political Behaviour; Public Opinion and Political Attitudes. In particular, I am interested in the following areas:
- Generational differences in political behaviour and attitudes;
- Vote-switching and electoral change;
- Gender differences in political knowledge, interest and participation;
- Attitudes to the EU;
- Nationalist parties and identities;
- Political parties and membership.
In addition, I am currently a co-investigator on the following research projects:

"Do traditional 'get out the vote' campaign methods work in Spain? A pilot experiment on non-partisan mobilisation of immigrant and native voters".
