About

Senior Lecturer in Biology and Head of the Biological Sciences Research Group (BSRG).

Teaching responsibilities

I teach on Genetics, Independent Studies for Biological Sciences, Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology for Sport, Microbes and Disease, Oncology, Mammalian Reproduction, Developmentmental Biology, Pathongenic Microbial Interactions, Genetic Technologies, Cell Structure and Function, Research Methods, Themes and Issues in Bioscience and Human Physiology in Health and Disease.

My specialised teaching areas are those of human biology.

Research interests

My research is mainly focussed on ovarian cancer, and I am currently investigating the early changes that arise in ovarian cells and potential new treatments for progressive disease. I am the Chief investigator of an exciting new trial that is investigating if practising Yoga has a beneficial effect for pateints undergoing treatment for gynaecological cancers.
