Female politicians get interrupted a lot - not even Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren are immune.
Even in the US Supreme Court, female justices get interrupted three times more often than men.
But Penny Wong, the leader of the opposition in the Australian senate, is done with mantteruptions.
She's often interrupted by Ian Macdonald, Liberal National senator and Father of the house — especially during long senate hearings, according to BuzzFeed.
This Wednesday was no different. While Wong was on her feet in the senate, she was interrupted.
Macdonald's comments weren't audible to those in the press gallery, but they clearly annoyed Wong enough to clap back. She said:
Thank you Mr President, the senator Macdonald really does have an unhealthy obsession with me. But I digress.
After appearing to be interrupted again, Wong, who is openly gay and married with kids, added:
You’re not my type either, mate, don’t worry about it.
"You're not my type either mate, don't worry about it."

Senator Penny Wong is the hero we need. pic.twitter.com/EK1p9i9dtf
It's not the first time Wong has shut down politicians.
In 2011, she was literally catcalled during a senate hearing when a male senator meowed at her. She replied:
Oh yes, why don't you meow when a woman does that — that's a good idea.
It is just extraordinary. The blokes are allowed to yell, but if a woman stands her ground, you want to make that kind of comment; it's sort of schoolyard politics, mate.
Needless to say, the internet loves her for it.
That does it. I'm moving to Australia!!! pic.twitter.com/znPWrVB60e
