September 2015 - Congratulations to James W. Butler, III, WMU-Cooley board member, for being awarded the Congressional Black Caucus Courage and Valor Award for his military service in the Vietnam War. He received the Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, two Purple Hearts and four Bronze Stars, including "V" device for heroism in ground combat. James Butler gave unconditionally in service to our country and continues to give to the Greater Lansing Community, the State of Michigan. and the nation.
