Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)
As much good as expected, with certain flaws...
'Dil Dhadkane Do' is definitely an entertaining ride which is somewhat lengthened than requirement. Although, this one surely offers something interesting than other bollywood movies coming each Friday.
The most favorite thing of mine from this movie is actually Pluto Mehra, the pet, who seriously seems normal than the other people! I mean really! The idea of dialogues of Pluto made it easy to understand the actual concept of movie for most of the audience. Aamir's voice for pluto was like surprise for me!
The performance which I liked the most in this movie is of Ranveer Singh. I really think that it was his best performance till now! Priyanka was also really good. I found characters of Anushka (Farah) and Farhan (Sunny) ,really interesting. And I think if their screen time would have been more, then movie could have been better and more interesting. Other supporting young cast was also good.
I found dialogues between elder people really boring and also unnecessary at many times.
Also, the film doesn't connect with people easily. I personally found the scenes boring where those so-called rich people talk about their rich things and dreams. I couldn't relate with it most of the times. the makers tried hard to get people's attention to their main concept; but, they got engaged for somewhat bollywoodising it!(If you know what I mean!) Dialogues could really, really have been better.
Still, in spite of flaws, I went out of theater with a smile, which such movies crave to get! I also liked songs in the movie, especially-'Gallan Goodiyan', which had full energy of celebration!
This one's surely not Zoya's best movie, but surely worth a watch!
