The Columbia Regional Learning Center at the National Center for Disaster Preparedness, Earth Institute, Columbia University provides FREE online certificate training courses, webinars, and lectures designed for individuals working in health systems including, but not limited to: health care, public health, home health, Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), community health, regional learning centers, and emergency management. All of the CRLC’s certificate courses are developed based on CDC Public Health Preparedness and Response Competencies and Public Health Emergency Preparedness Capabilities.

About Our Courses:

  • All 40 Courses / Webinars are FREE.
     
  • Most courses have multiple lessons which allow a learner to complete a course at their own pace. However, each lesson must be completed in order.
     
  • After completing a course including passing the post-test and course survey, you will automatically receive an e-mail containing a certificate of completion.
     
  • If this is the first time visiting the CRLC site, you will need to register as a user by setting up a username and password. Use this information to log-in each time you visit.
     
  • This enhanced system will meet all of your education and training needs, including tracking activity and keeping records of courses completed and in progress.

  • Fall, 2016: New Course:  Social Media in Preparedness and Response. This online course will help demystify social media and how it can be leveraged by public health organizations to meet public health goals in a community.
