NPWH and WHNPs Open New Front for Early Diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Dementia
NPWH and WomenAgainstAlzhemier's recently surveyed nearly 1,000 members on the topic of brain health. The survey found that women's health nurse practitioners (WHNPs) are a promising new partner to aid in the early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's and dementia, which disproportionately impact women. New Patient Safety Bundle on Postpartum Care
The Council on Patient Safety for Women’s Health Care has released its latest patient safety bundle: Postpartum Care Basics for Maternal Safety: From Birth to the Comprehensive Postpartum Visit. NPWH and the Society for Women's Health Research recently collaborated on an initiative to share information about genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). Approximately 40-50% of women experience symptoms of GSM.
