Your Tour

Prospective Student Tour
This walking tour allows prospective students to get a glimpse of the "Skegee" spirit!  Led by a university ambassador, students get an up close and personal look at everyday life at Tuskegee University, from the classroom to the "yard."  Upon request, tours can be catered to address the visitor's specific needs and interests.  Some of the highlights of this tour include personal interaction with university students, the opportunity to speak with an admission counselor or department advisor, and the opportunity to get an in-depth knowledge of all the possibilities that await you at Tuskegee University. Prospective Student tours are conducted daily (Mondays thru Friday) from 9am to 4pm.  Prospective Student Tours are not included on Saturday Tours.

Historical Tours
Stepping back into the 19th century, this walking tour allows visitors to learn about the early days of the university.  Visitors get to the opportunity to learn about first days of Tuskegee and how the university devised its brand in becoming the Pride of the Swift Growing South! You will also learn about significant black educators such as George Washington Carver, Booker T. Washington, William Dawson -- just to name a few -- and how their contributions not only helped developed Tuskegee, but also changed the world.  Some of the highlights include the University Chapel, Wilcox Buildings, John A. Andrews Hospital, and Tompkins Hall.  Historical Tours are conducted daily (Mondays thru Fridays) from 9am to 4pm and again on Saturdays at 10am only.

Historical tours are also provided by the National Park Service.  To schedule a historic tour, contact their office at 334-727-3200.
