The purpose of this project is to strengthen an inclusive regional coalition of organizations with vested interests in supporting the goal that creates a momentum for positive and effective systemic change in the region, regarding assets policies and programs for victims of recent hurricanes and persistent poverty in the southern Black Belt.

The mission of the Continuing Education Program at Tuskegee University is to provide comprehensive educational programs for lifelong learning. It is the means by which the University enriches, expands, and extends its resources to a wide range of individuals, special interest groups, and targeted audiences, not otherwise reached by the traditional ongoing programs.

For more than 110 years, the Tuskegee University Cooperative Extension Program (TUCEP) has provided non-formal educational and technical assistance programs to hundreds of thousands of Alabama citizens, and thousands of community groups.

Located at the intersection of Elm and Spring Streets, across the street from the Tuskegee Post Office, the Macon County Farmers Market offers a variety of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables from local and area farmers. Sponsored by entities such as Tuskegee University, City of Tuskegee, Macon County Farmers Organization, Macon County Commission, etc.

The Tusk-Mac CDC was initiated in 1997 with the purpose of strengthening Tuskegee University's involvement in the greater Tuskegee-Macon County community and to facilitate successful strategic planning and vibrant community development opportunities in and around our historically and culturally rich cities/towns of Tuskegee, Shorter, Franklin, and Notasulga, as they interface with the larger natural landscape of Macon County.
