Study the science of human thought and behaviour with lecturers who are at the forefront of research.

Our teaching team includes experts from within the field who will provide a strong focus around personal and professional development. You'll explore modern applications together with applications into social, developmental, cognitive and biological dimensions of behaviour. 

We align our courses with governing bodies to ensure our Psychology and Counselling degrees are current and kept up to date. The BSc (Hons) Psychology degree is accredited by The British Psychological Society and The BSc (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy Principles and Practices course is mapped against the health and social care sector.

Facilities

Our specialist facilities include EEG equipment, which is used to record brain activity, eye tracking software, a psychological observation suite, a counselling suite, an immersive simulation room and a domestic living suite.

Expert Teaching Team

Our teaching team includes experts who are at the forefront of psychological research into areas such as smartphone addiction, paranormal psychology, compassion and maths anxiety. You’ll explore modern applications of the social, developmental, cognitive and biological dimensions of behaviour.

Accreditations

The quality of teaching on our BSc (Hons) Psychology and Psychology Joint Honours is professionally recognised, and is accredited by the British Psychological Society.

Joint Honours

You can combine your Psychology or Counselling and Psychotherapy course with one other subject to create a Joint Honours degree. Whether you choose to study a single or Joint Honours course, you will develop vital skills for your CV, including time management, teamwork and adaptability.
