Certain features require compatible Roku players/Roku TVs or may require logging in to your Roku account. HAVING TROUBLE FINDING YOUR ROKU PLAYER OR ROKU TV? Note: If the app does not recognize your Roku player or TV (you see a “No Roku Devices Found” message after you sign in), try going to network setup again on your Roku player. Works as advertised

Finds all Roku devices on my network as it should. Just like the hardware, this app just works. It does not let you play your Roku channels on your phone/tablet/PC it is strictly a remote control. The advantage is the ability to use the keyboard or microphone on your device for searches and entering account information on premium channels instead of the simple remote that comes with the Roku. Well done.

Barely Workable in Windows 10

This app needs to be reworked for Windows 10. The double windows (channels & remote), worked very well in 8.1. They automatically snapped side-by-side in a 2/3 to 1/3 configuration. In 10, not so much. The double windows works ONLY in desktop mode AND you have to manually resize the windows and put them side-by-side. You have to do this EACH AND EVERY TIME the app is opened. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a TABLET? This really deserves 1 star, but I gave it 2 because the channel selection and the remote do work. I understand that programming an app is not perfect, but this really borders on utter negligence. It's not like Windows 10 was released as a surprise. O well.

The App REALLY needs Private Listening

I only rarely use the app to type faster. I would use it all the time if Private Listening was available. I don't use my Roku except for screen mirroring cause I don't ever use anything but my headphones. Please add Private Listening, I don't have an android device.

Barely works

Doesn't connect over Ethernet unless you manually enter the IP. Cast To usually freezes and when it doesn't it shows there is no music or photos available to cast.

Between my kids we can never seem to find the remote for our Roku. Downloaded this little app onto my laptop and my phone and I no longer need to worry about finding. Thanks

Great app! I use it daily.

I love the app and use it like a remote for my Roku when my kids lose the remote. Some of the other Roku remote apps have a hard time connecting but this one is really quick to connect on my home network.

only useful for a laptop or tablet

can cast your channels to a Roku enabled tv, . finds your Rokus , shows your channels and that's about it. you could use it much like the Roku remote

Needs updating

Needs the most valuable features already in Android and iOS. Most valuable features include private listening and being able to protect pics from phone onscreen.

Works well except ff, rr, play and pause don't work

Works well except the key board select button cover the fast forward, rewind, pause and play buttons making using them impossible. A simple rescale of the Roku buttons would fix this issue. Gave this 2 stars but would be a four if ff, rr, play and pause worked and would be a five star if there was a programable volume feature that would be simply great!

The app doesn't work on laptop

I have the Roku 1 and Roku 2 and a Roku TV which all work great and we love, however, I just downloaded the app for my laptop and I was able to log into my Roku acct, but none of my channels would launch. Can't watch anything. Please make this a useful app... I will change my star rating when this works. I have faith in you, Roku.

Should be able to stream our channels on our laptop/pcs along with our TV's the way it is now the Roku app is nothing but a remote control.

Roku is OK but lacking cast optioons

Got a ROKU stick from work for Christmas, Roku does the basics and only the basics. There is not support for casting videos from either phone or PC to ROKU which renders it a bit useless for my use. If it had wireless cast option I could stream the kids shows from my phone or another computer..... for now it works OK with Netflix and Pandora. You tube is also limited because for some reason I cannot type with phone keyboard when searching the ROKU YouTube app. I just open youtube app on my phone and cast from there. There are better options out there.
