Agencies Began Posting Their 2017 Chief FOIA Officer Reports During Sunshine Week

Last week the Department of Justice released its 2017 Chief FOIA Officer Report and agencies across the government began posting their reports as well. The 2017 Chief FOIA Officer Reports detail agency efforts to: apply a presumption of openness, ensure effective systems are in place to respond to requests, increase proactive disclosures, increase the utilization of technology, and improve timeliness and reduce backlogs.
