Archive Services offers teaching and research support to students and researchers from the University of Dundee and other institutions. Please contact us to arrange a group visit or to discuss how we can assist with teaching

History students are encouraged from their first year to visit the Archive, learning to access and use original material. Archive staff teach research skills to undergraduate and postgraduate students. We also work closely with Academic staff to identify items from the collections to use as teaching aids for a range of disciplines including History, English, Medicine, Geography and Philosophy.

"The University Archives provides a major resource in support of teaching and learning in history. The impressive facilities and range of archival resources are combined with commendable development strategies for extending the collection and improving access, including the use of digitisation and the integration of archival resources and staff expertise into the delivery of the history curriculum is an exemplary feature of provision."
