ALCID
ALCID Scheme
DCU library is a member of the ALCID scheme, which is a co-operative arrangement between a number of Academic Libraries in Ireland. It allows access to the collections of participating libraries on production of an ALCID membership card.
The scheme is available to full-time academics, academic–related staff, registered students reading for taught or research Masters degrees.
SCONUL
SCONUL Access Scheme
SCONUL Access is a reciprocal access scheme, granting borrowing privileges to many types of library users working or studying at participating higher education libraries in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Reciprocal access means that each participating library chooses which types of users to accept under the scheme. Its users are then offered exactly the same level of service by other member libraries.
DCU library offers borrowing to visiting staff and research students under the scheme.
