Citation[edit]

External video
Questia search demonstration
  • Editors should always provide original citation information, in addition to linking a Questia article, per WP:V and WP:SAYWHEREYOUGOTIT
  • Editors should not provide bare links to non-free Questia pages
  • Editors should note "(subscription required)" in the citation, where appropriate

Examples

<ref>{{cite web|title=National implementation committee approves funds for Swami Vivekananda values' education project|url=http://www.questia.com/doc/1P3-2131107461.html#|publisher=US Fed News Service, Including US State News |accessdate=14 April 2012|date=September 2010|url-access=subscription|via=[[Questia]]}}</ref>

If citing a book, optionally adding the ISBN of the cited book (found inside the Questia book, on its copyright page) increases both accessibility and verifiability for those without Questia access, who may then use the automatically-generated ISBN hyperlink. ISBNs can be included in many citation templates (including cite web), by means of the |isbn= parameter. Alternatively, as in the example below, immediately after (outside) the citation and Questia reference templates, simply type the acronym ISBN (with no punctuation) followed by one space and then the 13-digit (preferred) or 10-digit ISBN.

<ref>{{cite book|last1=Morris|first1=Christopher|title=The Big Muddy: An Environmental History of the Mississippi and Its Peoples, from Hernando De Soto to Hurricane Katrina|year=2012|publisher=Oxford University Press|location=New York|pages=70, 74|url=http://www.questia.com/read/121547188|accessdate=12 July 2014|subscription=yes|via=[[Questia]]|isbn= 978-0195316919}}</ref>

Apply or renew[edit]

To apply for new access add your username at the bottom with #{{user8|USERNAME|Project=code}} (eg. {{user8|Example|Project=en}}). Tell us in what areas you're active and how you'll use the Questia resources. If you had an account, it expires after one year, so please reapply.

Information icon.svg Renewal requests generally will require using a different email address than the one you previously used for Questia. To re-use the same email address, please email Luis.Pedraza@cengage.com directly asking for an extension of your TWL account.

I'm about to start work on another, and Questia could be an excellent resource. Many thanks - The Bounder (talk) 21:08, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

I have a particular interest in topics related to the British Empire and Malaysia, and would find access to Questia an invaluable resource for working on these subject areas. Thank you.
