  1. Amqui (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I contribute in a lot of subject areas, including but not limited to engineering, history, geography and other sciences. The vast majority of my edits are focused on content creation on French Wikipedia, I have created over 1,500 articles, wrote 14 Good Articles, and edited too many to count. I can read resources in English as this is my main language of work, but French is my native language. Having an account at GALE would give me access to resources that I don't have access to in other databases that I have access to. Thanks, Amqui (talk) 15:50, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
Approved Sorry for the late attention; please check your mailbox for a Wikipedia Email with instruction to proceed. Anup [Talk] 04:26, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
  2. Pax85 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) As I start to move more towards content creation, there are times when I have needed additional resources not found on line, such as a novel series that I am currently working with and needing access to past newspapers. My topic interests include theology, science, and literature, although I have been known to work on articles in many different areas. -Pax Verbum 17:12, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

  4. Hnaluru (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have been an active user and contributor of Wikipedia for more than a decade and as I started inching towards more content development, I began to look at sources, Gale offers to provide such a platform and I am keen to be a part of this library. My interests include India, Archaeology, History, Science and Politics. Thanks for considering. Hnaluru (talk) 18:07, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
Pictogram voting delete.svg Not approved: As you don't yet meet the experience requirements, I think it would be helpful for you to do a bit more editing first before applying for access. In the interim, I recommend using the Resource Exchange to seek specific sources you may need. Anup [Talk] 21:25, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
  5. Struway2 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I contribute mainly in the area of British football, biographies as well as historical content. My BNA and Findmypast subscriptions have just expired, so I'm going to be working on more recent stuff, and access to Gale's range of local newspapers going back to the 1990s, which aren't available to me anywhere else online, would be particularly useful. 10. Apwoolrich (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I would like access, please, for the work I do creating new articles on mostly British industrial history and biography. Apwoolrich (talk) 19:32, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
Pictogram voting wait.svg Pending: @Apwoolrich: We have very limited number of accounts available. Do you need it for your draft in sandbox? If it is the only topic you need help with sources at this time, I'd suggest you to make use of WP:RX (see also: Shared Resources). Please let me know, if you plan to work on many others and access to this resource will be helpful for your work, and I'll very gladly approve your subscription request. Thank you. Anup [Talk] 20:35, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
Yes please, I have ideas for other topics in the pipeline, the next one being Thomas Gilpin sr, Joshua Gilpin's father, and another on historical industrial espionage. Apwoolrich (talk) 07:32, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

  12. Psiĥedelisto (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Hello. I submit myself for your consideration. I am a new editor, but I could really benefit from this resource. To give you an idea of my commitment, when I couldn't find enough sources for West Coast Customs, I bought a subscription to Newspapers.com to help me fill it out. I have expanded 3x Deseret alphabet, I have expanded and cited everything needed to Vladislav Surkov, I have filled a ten year old request at Talk:Dust Bowl. When I noticed wrong information at the Japanese Wikipedia, I commissioned a translation to correct it. When Allen Quist complained at the Help Desk about his BLP, I found reliable sources for the disputed claims. The subscription is getting expensive for me though since this is a volunteer work for me. I work in private industry and live in Philippines. Every library here is very strict: students only, unless you know the head librarian (I don't). I never graduated even middle school and am self taught. My father was a foreigner who instilled in me a love of learning (as well as being, I think, the only Filipino native Esperanto speaker), but his early death put an abrupt end to my education. I have so much more I want to do: my area of greatest interest is writing systems and languages, which scholarly journals will surely help with; I love history, and surely the Infotrac NewsStand would help me out there. According to my research, Gale has some Filipino newspapers, I'd love to use it to expand Filipino topics here on Wikipedia also. I want to research the history of the Smiley face, I want to expand and reference our article about Baybayin, I want to dive into topics like American settlement in the Philippines, Baguio#History, and more. SNice.svg Thank you very much for your time and I hope I've done enough to demonstrate my commitment to this great project to avail of this opportunity. Psiĥedelisto (talk) 07:54, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

  13. Donner60 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have been a regular contributor since July 2010. I have created 111 article pages, many of which are biographies. I have begun work on two more biographies. I also have done much work in counter-vandalism where checking outside sources for verification is often necessary or helpful. Occasionally, I add references to unreferenced or insufficiently referenced articles. This library, especially with the added biography database, appears to be very useful for references for new and existing articles which I create or to which I contribute and for verification of new edits. Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 07:40, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
Pictogram voting wait.svg Pending: I would love to approve your subscription request but before I do that, I need to state a few things. We have very few out of 50 accounts left to distribute, therefore would want to give away to who needs it most. While I was going through your contribution log, I noticed that most of edits made in last 6 months (~20,000) are automated, and there are probably no active drafts (at least online) you are working on. If you can (please!) specify for what articles/drafts you need this resource, I will be happy to take a second look. For now, I've put your request on hold and will approve it when more accounts become available (quite a few subscriptions are set to expire this month, so it could be in next 20-25 days). Anup [Talk] 19:24, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
I am working offline on drafts for articles on George W. Smythe, a distinguished US Army colonel in World War II and brigadier general in the Korean War, Ebenezer Farrand, a US naval officer for 38 years who became one of nine flag officers of the Confederate States Navy, and the Battle of Butgenbach, an early part of the Battle of the Bulge. I wrote a section concerning this battle in my most recent article on John F. R. Seitz, which I posted in October so I have a start on it. This important action is not covered in other articles about the Battle of the Bulge. An entire book has been written about it so it is not a small engagement. Seitz was a US Army colonel in World War II and later a major general. Smythe had a similar record to Seitz's. While Seitz is my only original article in the last few months, it is comprehensive and uses quite a few sources. My earlier articles (both created, and substantial contribution) are shown in a section of my user page. I realize you may have noted them and admittedly, most of them date back a few years. I intend to transition back to more content creation and less patrolling in the next few months as I expressed on my user page but I know that may not be a distinguishing factor. (I had not realized there were such a limited number of accounts available.) Certainly I understand that these accounts should be distributed to those who need them most or appear most likely to use them currently. That means that others may need to wait for other accounts to become available. I can see that the limited number of accounts for this library have made this a more difficult task than the distribution of accounts to libraries to which Wikipedia has many more available. Thank you for your reply and your work on this library project. Donner60 (talk) 06:50, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

Thank you. I have responded. I will use this account especially for research on biographies. I hope my use will be sufficient to justify your confidence. I also appreciate the reminder about citing the urls since this is an unusual aspect of the citations. Donner60 (talk) 04:16, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
  14. Hmich176 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have been an editor on Wikipedia since December 2005, and I have made over 9000 edits. I have done a lot of research on amusement parks, ride manufacturers, and things generally from the 20th Century (which can range between the 19th and 21st centuries). This resource would be very useful. Thanks. --hmich176 00:42, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
