Absolute Mecca of information re: everything entertainment 😁
LOVE, LOVE,LOVE IMDB App not only for finding quirky, interesting and sometimes surprising facts about your fav movies, tv and the actors, writers, directors and just about anyone involved in a production!!👍🏼. ALSO a GREAT source for proving my husband wrong😉 LoL!! Seriously though it is a great source for narrowing down TV shows right down to a single, specific episode, and fantastic, expansive info on movies. I find myself using this app before even watching a movie to learn what I can about everything behind the scenes as well as a synopsis which, on IMDB is usually more detailed than what you may find through other sources on-line. Another advantage to using the app is that it is much quicker to pop in as opposed to an internet search and sifting through garbage to quickly get the info you are looking for.
The only thing I would change is how the "bios" are written. Not sure who they are written by (I believe some are simply fan submissions). But they are sometimes painfully written and make no sense. On the flip side however, most seem to be very well written with good & interesting information.
Overall good
Content & ease of navigation around site is excellent for the most part. My only issues are the ratings, it would be much better if you could have a tighter rating system. Allow a decimal point, 7.5, 8.5, etc. I like most people tend too either over or under rate to compensate. A Voice command would also be a wonderful addition, anything to spread things up would allow for more time spent on the site. Finally I know I'm not the only one who's upset with the comment section gone !!! Something that was so easy to use is bye bye. Plus it wasn't just for comments , you were able to get quick info on other subjects & start a dialogue back and forth. Worst move you did. I would give you a 3.5 but I'll be nice & keep my review at 4.
Fun App with Lots of Information BUT ...
IMDB is one of my favorite web sites and its great to have it as an easy to use, functional App! If there is anything you want/need to know about a movie, TV show, actor/actresses, Director, etc., you'll find it here. Very useful, but mostly it's just plain fun.
This recent update works faster and smoother. One of the best Apps going.
I do have one BIG bone to pick. Not so much with the App itself, but IMDb in general. That is the removal of the Message Board feature. That is an ill-conceived idea and it certainly is NOT in the best interest of your users. Not one user said this is a good idea. Even now, I find myself heading to this feature and then stopping myself as I remember it's not there anymore. Bad, bad, bad idea, IMDb management.
