Australian Aboriginal culture was on display as well as ...a brief education on the finer points of Rugby League. Thank you to all the volunteers, performers and to everyone who came along. JCU scientists using state-of-the-art genome sequencing have discovered two previously unknown crayfish viruses – and they hope their discovery can help boost production of the tasty crustaceans.
Dolphins at play in the #GreatBarrierReef are a joy to see - as well as a key indicator of reef health.
Traditional Owners are working with scientists from James Cook University to monitor and record dolphin numbers and status.
Increased knowledge on this native species will lead to better management and protection plans for these magical creatures and the whole ecosystem.
