Donald Trump Claims Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘Fired’ from ‘Apprentice’ for ‘Pathetic’ Ratings

22 hours ago | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

On Friday we learned that Arnold Schwarzenegger would not be returning to “Celebrity Apprentice.” “I learned a lot, I had a great time, it was a really great opportunity, but under the circumstances I don’t want to do it again,” the host told Empire magazine.

Now, Donald Trump has taken to Twitter to weigh in on Schwarzenegger’s decision to leave the NBC reality competition show. “Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the ‘Apprentice,’ he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show,” Trump Tweeted early Saturday morning.

And then came Schwarzenegger’s response, implying Trump had not gotten the facts rights. “You should think about hiring a new joke writer and a fact checker,” he Tweeted.

Arnold (@Schwarzenegger) March 4, 2017

During his interview with Empire, Schwarzenegger said his decision to leave the show had to do with the fact that Trump is still one of the executive producers. “It’s not about the show, because everyone I ran into came up to me and said ‘I love the show… but I turned it off because as soon as I read Trump’s name I’m outta there!'”, the actor said. “Even if asked [to do it again] I would decline. With Trump being involved in the show people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show.”

Dubbed “The New Celebrity Apprentice,” the eighth season of the show aired from January 2 to February 13.

Saturday Night Live: Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions Featuring Octavia Spencer

It didn’t take Saturday Night Live very long to go back to doing what they’ve done best this season: rip on politics.  From the get go Kate McKinnon did her best Jeff Sessions by acting out a memorable scene from Forrest Gump.   McKinnon acted as the disgraced Attorney General while sitting on a park bench next to Leslie Jones who plays the nurse from that memorable bus stop scene that took place way back in 1994. “My name’s Jeff, Jeff Sessions. I’m the attorney general of the whole United States.” “I always say life is like a box of chocolates,”

Save for a terrific, Forrest Gump-inspired cold open, where the Oscar-winning actress ever-so-briefly reprised her role from The Help opposite Kate McKinnon’s Jeff Sessions, Spencer was wasted in a series of uninspired, practically unwatchable sketches. Saturday’s are tough days for me and I’m sure many of you who enjoy watching a good TV show here and there.  The reason is because there really aren’t too many good shows on TV on Saturdays.  The reality is that we’re all supposed to go out and have fun on Saturdays right?   I mean that’s why the networks don’t schedule anything good except for Saturday Night Live and maybe Counting Cars.   And since I have two kids who are 4-years-old and 11-months-old respectively what are the chances I go out tonight.  You think I’m going out when

TMZ reported today that Larsa and Scottie Pippen are back together again.  Larsa posted a pic of the two Saturday and it’s got “happy couple” written all over it. Scottie filed for divorce from the former “Real Housewives” star back in October, but the two hanging out again recently. This picture seems to prove that all is right again in the Pippen house again. So, anything else to say?  Yup.  Who cares?  Why is Scottie Pippen’s love like a big deal?  I’m pretty sure the only reason is because Larsa is ridiculously attractive and because every time Scottie Pippen’s name

If Danny Masterson is Guilty, Please Lock this Guy Up

I never liked Danny Masterson.  All the way back to his days when he was in the movie “Bye Bye Love” as the guy who says “Party Party!” I never got a good vibe from him.  I never liked him on “That 70s Show.”  He was the only character I didn’t find funny.   While he’s not quite the same guy as Johnny Galecki I used to get the two confused.   Anyway, that’s besides the point.  I just didn’t like his gruff character.  I never felt he brought anything to the table.  What does this have to do with Danny Masterson

‘Saturday Night Live’: Host Octavia Spencer Skewers Oscars, Trump

Whenever people refer to Patrick Stewart they seem to forget the “Sir” part.  Not that it’s always customary to use it but I think people don’t realize that Stewart was knighted by the Queen back in 2010.  During the ceremony the then 69-Year-Old actor had one person to thank.  He said he owed “literally everything” to the English teacher who first encouraged him to perform. “Although many people in my life have had great influence on me, without this man none of it would have happened,” he said following the investiture. ‘Custody’ Review: Viola Davis Can’t Save This Wildly Messy Lifetime Movie

10 hours ago | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Custody” is the cliched wedding toast of movies. Actually, it’s the drunken cliched wedding toast of movies, in that it starts by defining the title — “the protective care or guardianship of someone or something,” in case you’re unfamiliar with the lofty legal term — before spiraling wildly off-topic, delving full-on into the lives of the wedding guests and often forgetting why these stories are relevant to the happy couple.

In other words, it’s a mess, and if you’re purely interested in Viola Davis’ involvement, I urge you to skip to the first and only paragraph below staring with “Viola Davis” (or the one ending with “our beloved Vi Vi”).

To continue the wedding analogy, our happy couple at the heart of “Custody” is Sara Diaz (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and her kids. A single mother working at a dry cleaner, Diaz is constantly worried about her kids getting into trouble, »
