Signs of a Split: Did Kate Beckinsale Predict the End of Her Marriage to Len Wiseman?

20 November 2015 1:20 PM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but did Kate Beckinsale foresee her own split? Or maybe not in so many words, but looking back it seems as if the Underworld star was for years taking a one-day-at-a-time approach to her marriage to filmmaker Len Wiseman. E! News confirmed today that the couple have separated after 11 years of marriage, with a source saying that "they have not been together for a few months." They looked very much a couple almost exactly a year ago at the 2014 American Music Awards, but sightings had become few and far between—and a month ago, neither Beckinsale nor Wiseman was wearing a wedding ring when spotted on separate occasions. Quantico Boss Talks Alex's Surrender, Liam's Scandal, Simon's Switch & More

Sunday’s Quantico simultaneously gave terrorism suspect Alex a tiny sliver of hope — though she doesn’t know it yet — and put her in the most precarious situation we’ve seen so far.

The hour saw Caleb find (and then, at the behest of his father, bury) the first evidence supporting Agent Parrish’s innocence in the Grand Central bombing. And later, realizing that the feds were closing in after last week’s shootout in Queens, Alex tricked an injured Ryan into boarding a helicopter to safety, then walked into FBI Central to turn herself in.

Bruce Willis Thinks Terrible 'Die Hard: Year One' Concept Is A "Very Good Idea"

22 October 2015 12:57 PM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

As you probably already know, Fox is squeezing whatever it can out of the "Die Hard" franchise, with plans for a prequel, "Die Hard: Year One," with Len Wiseman involved. Yes, the guy behind "Live Free Or Die Hard," the shoddy "Total Recall" remake, and the mastermind of the "Underworld" franchise. The idea is that the proposed movie will follow young, '70s era John McClane as we learn how he got so die hard-esque — a story that doesn't need to be told, and betrays the everyman roots of the character — with Bruce Willis popping up in present day sequences for some reason, probably to cash a paycheck. And shocker, Willis thinks the concept has merit. Crowded October Box Office Adds 'Witch Hunter', 'Paranormal 6', 'Jem' & More 'Jobs'

22 October 2015 11:36 AM, PDT | Box Office Mojo | See recent BoxOfficeMojo.com news »

This weekend sees four new wide releases hitting theaters, plus the nationwide expansion of Steve Jobs, all on the heels of last weekend's four new releases, making for an October box office bottleneck. Goosebumps looks like a solid holdover, hoping to repeat at #1. In its way is The Last Witch Hunter, which should top the weekend, taking advantage of the timeframe and Vin Diesel's Furious fame. Additional new releases include the latest installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise, which finds Paramount taking a shot at a new release strategy while Rock the Kasbah and Jem and the Holograms feast on the scraps. Starting with last weekend's #1, Goosebumps opened with $23.6 million, but more importantly carried an "A" CinemaScore. With Halloween just around the corner and a CinemaScore that suggests positive word of mouth, expect this children's horror to holdover well with a 34% drop and a $15.5 million second weekend. Should The Last Witch Hunter »

‘Die Hard 6’: Len Wiseman in Talks to Direct

14 October 2015 5:33 PM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

Twentieth Century Fox is in negotiations with Len Wiseman to direct and produce the sixth installment in its durable 27-year-old “Die Hard” franchise.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura is also producing. Bruce Willis is expected to return for “Die Hard 6” in a story that would focus on the origins of the younger John McClane character, set in New York City in 1979. The plan is for Willis to appear in the narrative as a present-day version of McClane.

The actor has not signed a deal yet. Willis previously worked with di Bonaventura in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation.”

The film is titled “Die Hard: Year One.” Fox has dispensed with numbers in the titles in the last three films.

Wiseman directed the fourth installment of the franchise in 2007 with “Live Free or Die Hard,” which grossed $383 million worldwide. The fifth film, 2013’s “A Good Day to Die Hard,” was directed by John Moore and grossed $304 million worldwide. »

Len Wiseman developing Die Hard 6 as a reinvention of the series

14 October 2015 5:10 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

It looks like Bruce Willis could be back for a sixth outing as John McClane, although this time he may not be getting in on much of the action himself.

According to Deadline, director Len Wiseman (Underworld) and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers) are making a deal with Fox to reinvent the action series with Die Hard 6 and are currently seeking a screenwriter.

The site reports that the film “is sort of a prequel while still leaving room for Willis to play McClane as well. Basically, he’ll bookend a story line that will be set much of the action in 1979, when McClane was a cop in gritty New York City and showing how he became a die hard kind of guy.”

The last instalment of the franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard, was released in 2013 and grossed over $300 million, despite being atrocious.
