MISSION & OBJECTIVE

The CineYouth Festival, presented by the Chicago International Film Festival celebrates the work of filmmakers 21 years old and younger, highlighting the creativity of the next generation.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Celebrating its 11th year May 7-9, 2015 CineYouth, is a FREE film festival held in Chicago that features officially selected films, hands on workshops and special events!

Award-winning CineYouth are screened at the 51st Chicago International Film Festival at the CineYouth "Best of the Fest" screening (date and time TBA).

Approximately 100 films are accepted to CineYouth, and submissions are accepted from US and international filmmakers.

CineYouth 2015 entries are accepted November 3, 2014 and submissions must be postmarked by by March 23, 2015 to be considered.

GENERAL RULES

CineYouth 2015 entries are accepted November 3, 2014 and submissions must be postmarked by by March 23, 2015 to be considered.

Eligibility:
-The film's director(s) must have been 21 years old or younger at time of filming
-All films must be in English or subtitled in English
-Films must be 10 minutes or less
-Past submissions to CineYouth can not be resubmitted

You may submit as many films as you like, but an entry must accompany EACH film and each submission.

DVD screeners may be sent to:

Clearly label each entry with the film title and WAB tracking number. Your submission will not be returned.

Online screeners may be sent to cineyouth@chicagofilmfestival.com as a private Vimeo link with password or .MOV file.

Because of the high volume of submissions, we are unable to provide feedback on why your film was/was not selected.

If your film is accepted, you must provide an electronic film still that is a minimum 300dpi, 4x6 and high quality.

By entering your work to te CineYouth Festival, you attest that you give permission for it to screen at the 2015 CineYouth Festival, the 51st Chicago International Film Festival and be used in any promotional/programming materials.
