Who could possibly forget about the kids of Hawkins, Indiana?!
In an epic new mashup video, the cast of Stranger Things — including the Demogorgon — sing the hit ’80s song “Don’t You Forget About Me” and it’s glorious.
The music video features footage from the Netflix drama’s first season mashed together perfectly with the words to Simple Minds’ 1980s classic — time well spent.
The cast is currently filming season 2 of the Duffer Brothers’ hit series which will feature a batch of fresh new faces, ’80s icon Sean Astin, former Mad About You‘s star Paul Reiser, and actress Linnea Berthelsen. »

The first season of Stranger Things was not a highly anticipated event. It was a highly appreciated surprise. The Duffer Brothers drama, set in small-town Indiana and focused on a small boy's disturbing disappearance, appeared on Netflix seemingly out of thin air, grabbing viewers' attention due to its excellent cast headlined by veterans like Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine, newcomers like Finn Wolfhard and Millie Bobby Brown, the heart-on-the-sleeve homages to the 1980s and more.
But above and beyond its cast and cultural references, Stranger Things more than lives up to its name. It's a deeply strange »

Game Of Thrones, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, Westworld... Did your favourite TV episode of 2016 make the cut?
Earlier this month, twenty-five of Den Of Geek's writers nominated up to five of their favourite television episodes of the year, ranked in order of preference. Points were allocated. Our countdown of the year’s best TV has reached No 3: the Duffer brothers’ meticulous mix of 80s pop culture, sci-fi, horror, nerds and telekinesis. And by the way, what is a Demogorgon?
• More on the best culture of 2016
The key ingredients barely need repeating. The Duffer brothers took the best of 80s pop culture – elements of John Carpenter, Steph(v)ens King and Spielberg – shoved them in with Dungeons & Dragons, New Order and Winona Ryder, and ended up with an algorithm-busting, genre-melding, word-of-mouth smash. From the deep-dive discussion of the plot to the soundtrack, the title graphics, the endless memes and a new star in the shape of Millie Bobby Brown, Stranger Things provided a genuine 2016 TV moment.

Netflix’s sci-fi original series “Stranger Things,” about the mysterious happenings in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in 1983, was one of the biggest hits of the year. Now, fans are clamoring for any information about the upcoming second season, but most of the cast and crew have remained silent. But in a recent interview with Refinery29, lead hairstylist Sarah Hindsgaul discussed in broad terms the visual changes in the second season as the show moves into 1984.

“This year it is very different — we start stepping more into the ‘80s, which is kind of amazing, visually,” says Hindsgaul. “Last year was ’83 and this year is ’84, and they’re still in Hawkins, Indiana — but people are starting to realize there are perms and mullets, so we’re using a lot of wigs this year, because no one wants perms and mullets. »

Sophia Bush took the podium to announce the SAG Awards nominees on Wednesday morning, and there was one actor she was especially happy to see nominated: Millie Bobby Brown!
Although the Chicago P.D. actress has yet to meet the Stranger Things standout, she recognizes the visible talent that the 12-year-old has — and regards her as “a tour de force.”
“It was impossible for me to hide how excited I was for Millie Bobby Brown. I was really trying to play it cool, but I think she’s such a tour de force in this tiny young lady, and I’m »

Any bruised feelings Netflix may have been nursing over Monday’s Golden Globe nominations were surely assuaged by the Screen Actors Guild on Thursday. The streaming service came roaring back with 17 SAG nominations, topping HBO, which collected 13. That topped last year’s total of 10 noms for Netflix.
Netflix’s impressive haul was spread across both new series — like period drama “The Crown” and breakout hit “Stranger Things,” which earned three nods each — and returning “classics” like “House of Cards,” which earned two for its lead actors, Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.
SAG is often accused of ignoring newcomers, but this year, the guild did manage to spread the wealth across many freshman series. Despite the shocking snub of FX’s critically praised “Atlanta,” voters showed they paid attention to what was happening on TV this season, recognizing “Westworld” (three overall nods, including for star Thandie Newton and drama ensemble) and “This Is Us” star Sterling K. Brown, who »

Every nominations announcement comes with its share of snubs and surprises and SAG is no different. On the film side, acclaimed indie “Captain Fantastic” made a strong showing, while the hit “Sully” and its leading man Tom Hanks were shut out. In TV, it was a surprisingly good year for new series as “The Crown,” “Stranger Things,” and “Westworld” all collected multiple noms, and veteran nominees like Viola Davis, Jim Parsons, and Maggie Smith were unexpectedly snubbed.
The SAG Awards are the only major awards show that honor only actors, and are voted on by fellow actors, SAG-aftra members. The 23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards will air at 8 p.m. Est, Jan. 29 on TNT/TBS.

After years of minimal turnover, the SAG Awards offered up some big surprises with the 2017 TV nominees. Setting aside for a moment the duality present in the acting nominations, the chosen ensemble contenders bucked tradition in favor of the new, starting with three freshman series squeezing their way into a typically veteran drama category.
“The Crown,” “Stranger Things,” and “Westworld” all earned nominations for Best Ensemble (alongside last year’s winner “Downton Abbey” and four-time nominee “Game of Thrones”), forcing out perennial favorites “House of Cards” and “Homeland” (the latter of which wasn’t eligible this year, as it did not air in 2016). More surprising still, the much heralded — and performance dependent — NBC drama “This Is Us” was kept out of the race along with Emmy favorite “Better Call Saul” (which was totally blanked at the SAG Awards).
