haha. Last Exile is THE best anime ever. I love it. Only gripe i have with it is the end. They should have made it a few more episodes longer imo.
The chars are all good and you get quite attached to em. Only thing that might annoy you is Lavies voice if you watch it with enligsh voices he he.

i thought the same exact thing. sadly, it wasn't as good as the opening. in my opinion, this anime is extremely overrated.

I disagree whole heartedly- I think it is WAY BETTER than the opening. The opening doesn't quite do justice to the amazing visuals you see later in the series.

i have to agree. i hate anime, honestly. i was at a friends house and i heard what sounded like bagpipes in the beginning mixed up nicly with some other unusal instruments and feel in love with it. this anime was pretty awesome and like i said i really dont like anime.

Even after watching the series several times few I love the opening and ending videos, my favorite ever. Depending on how I feel I might watch them several times in a sitting while I go through some episodes. There really isn't anything else like it for me. Neither Anime nor movies have ever created such a wonderful world and characters that I enjoy so much. It has so much depth I learn new things every time I see it. I wish they would make another series just about Claus and Lavie and the Vanship pilots. For me, the early episodes that are full of these elements are sublime.
