Principal Product Manager, IMDb Advertising

Job ID: 443106 | IMDb.com, Inc.

DESCRIPTION

You are a seasoned product manager who has a track record of driving end-to-end execution of new product and feature releases. You know how to bring best practices to a young team and establish rigor in the quality of the team's outputs. You are always thinking of great product ideas, and are effective in influencing up and down your management chain to bring others on board with your ideas, from concept to execution. You love watching movies and television shows, and you would love to merge your passion with your work.
You are getting recruiting calls from all the top tier tech companies from Facebook and Google to Uber and Snapchat. How do you choose? In our experience, three things pretty much determine job happiness: the people you work with, your passion for the problems you are solving, and your ability to balance work and life.

At IMDb, you'll be joining a team of seasoned leaders who value execution and decision making at the speed of startups, but with the backing and resources of Amazon. You can expect a culture of ambitious but achievable technology development, built in short iterations with lots of experimentation. We set high standards for ourselves but believe no work day is complete without lots of laughter. We celebrate team and personal milestones, and value balanced lifestyles that enable us to be refreshed and productive each day. You'll be learning plenty from your future teammates, and we’re eager to learn from you as well. Best of all, we share a passion for Entertainment; we meet regularly with our founder and colleagues to discuss current films, shows, and events.

You are joining IMDb at the inception of new exciting initiatives, and the Advertising Team is a strong team that drives a significant proportion of IMDb's revenue. You will be leading the development of features to help IMDb become an increasingly important marketing partner to our Hollywood clients, and drive online traffic to IMDb during Awards and Events such as Oscars, Emmy's, Golden Globes, and Comic Con (check out #IMDboat in Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram). You will connect data sources, design features, and envision prediction capabilities using proprietary IMDb analytics to help our advertising clients improve on their marketing strategy for new title releases. To do it, you will work cross-functionally to formulate business requirements and drive execution across product owners, designers, data analysts, engineers, legal, finance, sales marketing, sales, PR, and ad operations teams.

Position could be based in Seattle or LA.
