Go fun yourself with this awesome app?
With this app you can go fun yourself with some of the most popular and entertaining memes of the day. Not only does it set the standard but it keeps striving, but every up has its down. A lot of the users are politically motivated and that in my opinion degrades the value of 9GAG but once you make your way past all of that you're good to keep on scrolling through this wonderful application.
Erased All the Bad Reviews
Don't get into these things much but 9GAG took away some "offensive" memes to appeal to sensitive parties (mind you not really offensive at all but you know someone has to be butt-hurt about it). Despite have a dark humor section, NSFW, and basically a girl section with half naked chicks in it. Hypocrisy much?? Even more so they decided to redo the app to remove all the negative reviews they got instead of addressing the main issue. So until I see changes I will not promote 9GAG. I'd rather send people to reddit, Instagram, or even Facebook.
Fun App, but recent updates are unacceptable
I have used the 9GAG site and app for nearly 8 years now and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. However, recent updates banning users' abilities to comment and react freely is disturbing. Besides the obvious of censoring sexually explicit material, restrictions on user behavior moves us closer to total internet control/monitoring. As a loyal user, I will continue to use the site/app, however I am unhappy about the recent developments.
