Love Me Monster... I love using Monster apps for job hunting. This app and the Jobster app by Monster is good app to use as well. Word of advice make sure you have a updated Cover Letter and Current Resume saved to your Monster account. It makes it so much easier to fast apply! And you receive emails for the jobs you applied for in case you forgot.. 😘 Kudos Monster 😇

Too many false ads Way too many CDL postings. When I click on them it takes me to a fake post that leads to another job posting site. This makes your job search annoying and difficult because there are hundreds of these fake posts. I figure the hundreds of RN posts are the same. Skip monster and try something more legit.

To many jobs out of scope I am a senior financial analyst. Why, when I am searching for a finance manager position, do all these listings for truck drivers and care givers pop up? You need a filter for minimum salary and a better search engine that only shows jobs appropriate to the searched term.

Easy to use. Very user friendly. The thing I like most is that you don't have to go through multiple websites to get to the job /company to fill out their application. ZipRecruiter has way to many. Thank you Monster, I found a position I needed ❣️

The App & Monster's site are horrible! No one wants to spend time going to the employers site to fill out an application. A resume should be sufficient. If the employer is interested in hiring you, then it makes sense, but just because you fill out an app doesn't mean they will call. Not to mention the ridiculous security steps.

Decent app but too repetitive The app is smooth and everything but for some reason I will see the same job posted 20 times in a row. Out of 250 jobs, almost all of them were repeat CDL jobs. Please fix this and I will give 4 or 5 stars.

Hate it (present tense) Set email to never -- you still get emails. Delete Inbox items and leave the app. Open the app a few minutes later, and deleted emails reappear. Constant "Authentication Error(s)" -- very annoying. Don't believe the positive reviews. This app was coded with a lick and a promise. (EPIC fail.)
Useless It is called "worldwide", but you cant search worldwide. You have to activate GPS and then max 200 miles around. Totally useless. Might work in US, but if you look for international jobs you will deinstall shortly after install. Waste of time. Did not expect such scrap from monster
I like it but...it needs improvements For example I'm not a physician so why should I be able to view physician jobs. Or the fact that I can't fly a plane why a pilot job. That way I can find what I do want without all the stuff I don't want. Or when I say I want just a certain city and it pulls up beyond the miles that I wanted.
Everyday I get 25 "new jobs," almost all of which were there yesterday. And that show themselves as multiple days old. Designed, methinks, to make you think they have more activity than they do.
Would be 4 stars but..... They allow spamming way to much. I can't find a job because of the CDL driver spam and tbh I think it's not a job but one of those driving schools. Get that fixed and then I can job search with the app but for now it's pointless and I'm deleting it.
Poor search engine Great in correctly uploading your resume in the perfect format. Others like indeed ruin your resume. However Monster's search engine is terrible. Won't stay in zipcode radius and shows zero jobs of actual interest. I recommend Indeed, just make sure to manually insert resume.
Basic, needs refinement but lots of jobs Has lots of jobs but difficult to filter. Also some jobs can't be favourited, which is unhelpful. And it lists expired jobs (surely that would be an easy fix?) but often you can't see the closing date until you try to apply.
It doesn't provide jobs correctly according with your zipcode After having my profile completely set up with my address, the app kept presenting jobs from the entire country, instead of the ones in the radius I've set. Lots of improvement needed.
Simple Easy to use, and mostly no gliches. On some job titles you click on it, but nothing shows up. A blank page. But that may be the business personal mistake. It does seem like the search filters do nothing at all though for job titles.
Disappointing The app doesn't filter or sort by the keywords or filters you choose. It just seems to spit out whatever and leaves to look through a bunch of jobs that are not what you are looking for or there's an error message when you click the post. It would be nice if the message said job was no longer available or something along those lines but an "oops" message just makes it seem like the app is messing up.
Absolutely impossible to apply with the app None of the "apply" pages EVER work. You CAN NOT apply for jobs from this app unless they are "Quick Apply" linked. USELESS just use the desktop version instead
Looking for a job then this a helpful tool. If you need to use it from a tablet possibly with an ext keyboard, forget about it. The screen doesnt rotate to landscape - stays in portrait. Tech being what it is today this is shortsided and just plain dumb.
Won't save settings Monster used to work great I really liked the app, but now it won't save searches. Every time I start the app it's like it's just freshly installed and I get the let's get started page. This is extremely annoying! Fix this and you get at least 4 stars.
Horrible search fitler The search filter is horrible. It does not bring up accurate results and you have to sort through 250+ posts searching for a relevant job. Indeed is better.
Staffing agencies hacks this app easily Recruiters hack the app all the time. Why this app doesn't have an option to skip staffing agencies?? They suck. They ruin all your chances to get a permanent job. Monster please add the option in the search settings. You do that and everybody will love this app.
edit covering letter. if I could edit the covering letter stored and customise per application Monster would be EXCELLENT we need to be able to edit the stored cover letter as customisation will make one stick out. it's hard to create and upload a new letter for each application esp if working from phone or tablet
Load time is terrible. Got the app because I needed something quick. Not impressed with results opposed to opening the laptop and using web based searching. The mobile is disappointing
Saved searches do not work. There is no filter for job type or title. Boolean search is broken. Cannot stay logged in: Always asks for password.
Just doesn't work UI works fine, but the filters don't work, I've been trying to search for contract roles for some time today, but keep getting just perm roles. Fundamentally doesn't do what it says it's doing
Could be great. But gives a bunch of jobs on a list that your not looking for. I.E. YOU SEARCH FOR SAFETY JOB AND A BUNCH OF MEDICAL JOBS COME UP
Keeps crashing It shuts down every time I try to enter my zip code. Because of this, I can't narrow my job search. Please fix.
Way too overloaded with cdl jobs... Each search screen of 50 has atleast 40 cdl jobs that are in no way local or have any bearing on a 30 mile job search.....and thats coming from a truck driver....its all junk.....indeed is much better
Needs work I can apply to 10 jobs yet the app tells me I have applied to none! Frustrating when you are trying to make progress
Too slow This app is just way too slow to startup. By the time it starts, I've already lost interest. You can do better than this monster. Heck, I teenage mobile programmer can do better than this.
It is so annoying!! It always says "3 new jobs" on notification, but everytime I am going to open the app, no jobs available! It is better to use LinkedIn and Indeed.
Hard to see Its not reed where u can see the job and swipe.... its a long list of black and white. But hey its got good jobs if u can read the title of job u want
Redundant The app notifies me that I have new jobs, yet when I click on it, it brings up the same old jobs from weeks even months ago. So i go in and repeatedly change settings to new postings only. Now it seems that instead of actually showing new postings, it just shows the same ones that say today instead 60 days ago? Oh yea, and certain companys spam the hell out of it, so when it actually shows new postings, its the same company over and over. What's up Monster????
Notification feature Needs a notification feature for when you get messages about jobs. I recieved messages about jobs I didn't know about a month ago that I could be employed with now. Other than that it's a good app I think.
Poor app Poor search capabilities. No capability to add a resume. Feels like the app is twenty years old. Not good.
It is not bad but it could be better. More "1-tap" applys and the ability to dismiss a job in search... If i am not qualified, I don't want to keep seeing it
Poor filters Filters by location and job suggestions do not work correctly. Email notifications send incorrect and totally irrelevant jobs.
Decent app. Doesn't always get the search criteria correct though. Sometimes says you have new opportunities but it's the same positions shown again and again.
Won't load resume I've been trying for 15 minutes to get a resume to upload and it won't upload any format. What good is a job site app if it won't load a resume? Frustrated
REALLY ANNOYING how they push vibrating notifications in the middle of the night! I could hear the phone downstairs vibrating from upstairs from my bed. This is just data harvesting! I already filled out all of my personal information on your site. I click on the job posting & I end up having to fill out all the information you already have all over again on a recruiting site. Then I am sent to the company's website where the application requires I fill in all of the personal information I already gave you several times before getting to the actual application. This isn't easy and it makes searching for jobs very frustrating! Is there a way to block recruiters from this app? 3rd parties just make job searching harder and put the goal farther away from your hands.
