Overview

Christina Steiner is a third year Pardee RAND student interested in workforce policy, strategy, analysis, and management. This includes topics pertaining to professional development, employee satisfaction, career pathways, incentives, recruiting, and retention. She comes to Pardee RAND with a broad array of educational and professional experiences from teaching English at Ginling College for women in Nanjing, China, to presenting to Chief Officers in human resource strategy for one of America's largest grocery retailers.

Most recently, Steiner worked in development for IDEA Public Schools, a high-performing charter school network, where her team raised $38 million in public and private funds over a 14 month period. She also acted as an internal consultant to the senior leadership team for strategic initiatives including human capital, college success, business models, and continued growth of the IDEA network.

Steiner graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in economics and Spanish, and she earned her MBA at UT Austin with a concentration in strategic marketing. From 2004 to 2006 she was a Teach for America Corps member in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.
