Local Government – Includes data for all local governments (i.e., counties, municipalities, townships, special districts, and school districts) by government function.

State & Local Government – Includes combined data for all 50 state governments and all local governments (i.e., counties, municipalities, townships, special districts, and school districts) by government function.

Announcements

On December 16, 2016, the 2015 preliminary data and 2014 revised data were released for the Annual Survey of Public Employment & Payroll. 2015 Federal data for Annual Survey of Public Employment & Payroll will be released at a later date.

Data collection for the 2016 Annual Survey of Public Employment & Payroll began in March 2016.
