What do your think?
As I edit my own article for publication (*ahem* not that it's due tomorrow or anything), I find myself with a question: is it now acceptable to submit scholarly articles whose titles and texts contain cuss words? The Fall 2011 issue of Western Humanities Review contains an article titled "The Humanities, RCM, and Bullshit"; its thesis seems to be that Responsibility Centered Management (be that what it is) is, well, a bunch of bullshit. The cheeky, screed-like tone and clearly subjective writing style ('bullshit' and its synonyms make several appearances throughout) make this article sound more like it belongs in a blog than in a professional publication - but maybe the lines there have been blurred now and I just never caught on.
Alternately, is this also an example of "fast-food scholarship"? Curious...
