Stephen Colbert, Chance The Rapper and More Perform the ‘Arthur’ Theme Song – Watch

For many “Arthur” fans the 1996 animated children’s show was a part of their childhood, or in Stephen Colbert’s case: a show that he enjoyed with his kids. Now, the “Late Show” host is paying homage to the series by performing the “Believe in Yourself” theme song with original singer Ziggy Marley, Jon Batiste and Chance The Rapper in a delightful new video.

The clip begins with Colbert in his office and then hears Jon singing the words to the song. As they reminisce about watching the show, Colbert then takes his daytime nap and in his dreams performs a new version of “Believe in Yourself” with the trio.

Marley is seen playing the guitar alongside Batiste who plays the melodica. Chance the Rapper then joins by singing a couple of verses, while Colbert happily walks down an animated street and snaps pictures with a cartoon camera.

26 January 2017 4:58 PM, PST

12 seasons in, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” is still going strong. The irreverent comedy, which first aired on FX before migrating to the newer Fxx, remains surprisingly consistent. As indicated by the title, next week’s episode, “Making Dennis Reynolds a Murderer,” finds the Gang in true-crime mode as they endeavor to discover who might be responsible for the death of Dennis’ ex-wife. Watch below.

Dennis is, of course, the primary suspect, and the episode finds the increasingly sociopathic character on the defensive. “Did I kill Maureen? No,” he insists. “Am I glad she’s dead? Sure.” Maureen is one of the show’s stranger characters, which is saying a lot: Over the course of several seasons, she’d undergone several surgeries to make herself more cat-like before her untimely death. »

Jon Hamm Thinks Don Draper’s Spiritual Epiphany In The ‘Mad Men’ Finale Didn’t Last

26 January 2017 10:30 AM, PST

In May of 2015, Matthew Weiner’s AMC series “Mad Men,” an existential drama about a talented advertising executive amidst the historical developments of 1960’s America, came to a close. The series finale ended with protagonist Don Draper (Jon Hamm) meditating in an Esalen-like spiritual retreat with a smile on his face as the show smash cuts to the 1971 “Hilltop” TV advertisement for Coca-Cola. The ending has opened itself up to a couple different interpretations: some say Don finally found enlightenment and peace away from his traditional New York lifestyle, while others say he returned to New York unchanged and create the Coke ad.

‘Riverdale’ Review: Weird ‘Archie’ Update is an Exciting Blend of The CW’s Superheroes and Soap

26 January 2017 9:37 AM, PST

Archie may have been born as a comic book character, but it was Greg Berlanti and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa who gave him a superhero physique. That is not a critique, but it is perhaps the first thing you might notice about the CW’s new take on the 76-year-old all-American high schooler, now making his live action television debut.

In fact, that might be the easiest way to describe it. And yet there’s just enough happening underneath the surface to make it worthy of deeper study. Arnold Schwarzenegger, A Career In Crisis: Why the ’80s Action Icon Can’t Mount a Comeback

26 January 2017 8:30 AM, PST

This can’t be what Arnold Schwarzenegger imagined 2017 to look like: Sure, there’s a reality star in the White House, the Chicago Cubs are World Series champions, and his arch-rival (/best celebrity friend), Sylvester Stallone, is a recent Academy Award nominee. Yet for the ex-governor of California, far more confounding is how he became an ex-celebrity.

Schwarzenegger spent his acting life amassing a domestic box office of more than $1.8 billion. That haul came from comedies, like “Twins” ($111 million); science fiction, like “Total Recall” ($119 million) and “Terminator 2” ($204 million); or — his bread and butter — action flicks a la “True Lies” ($146 million) and “Eraser” ($101 million). But one unfortunate connection for all of Schwarzenegger’s films grossing $100 million-plus: They were all made before the year 2000.

Since the dawn of the new millennium, Schwarzenegger’s name above the title has carried less weight at the box office, resulting in drastically lower figures. How he »

‘The Magicians’ Bosses on How Trump Ruined Their ‘Fillory Clinton’ Joke and Inspired Season 2’s Destructive Entity

25 January 2017 5:19 PM, PST

The election of Donald Trump had far-reaching repercussions not only for America and the world, but in the imaginary realm of Fillory as well.

On Syfy’s dark and irreverent series “The Magicians,” a handful of students from the magic college Brakebills have discovered that the world of Fillory, the setting of a popular series of fantasy novels, is real. Fillory is like C.S. Lewis’ Narnia on crack… if crack were made from the blood of innocent baby unicorns.

When Season 1 left off, the gang made a deal: In exchange for a blade that would kill an antagonist known as the Beast, Eliot (Hale Appleman) as the future High King of Fillory married the blade-maker’s daughter. For what was possibly the worst honeymoon ever, they confronted the Beast, who made quick work of everyone including Penny (Arjun Gupta), whose hands are sliced off with magic.
