Make sure you fill in all the required information on the page and choose an annual or monthly subscription level. Can I subscribe without a credit card?
At this time IMDbPro only accepts credit cards entered through our secure online payment system as the method of payment. You can safely enter your credit card details via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.

When I try to sign up, your system rejects my credit card. Why?
Our payment system may reject the credit card details you entered for a variety of reasons.
If you get a message saying 'Invalid Card Type', it means that there is something wrong with the credit card number you entered and/or it doesn't match the card type. This usually happens when a wrong credit card type is selected (i.e. Visa instead of MasterCard) or when the credit card number has been typed incorrectly. Please double check the credit card number (watch for forgotten digits and make sure you omit spaces/dashes) and try again.
Also make sure the name, address and phone number you provided match the information on record at your bank or financial institution. If the card continues to be rejected, we recommend contacting your financial institution directly for further inquiry.
If you are trying to sign up for a free trial, your credit card may be rejected if you already took advantage of a free trial account offer in the past using the same credit card. Our trial offer is limited to one per user - if your card has been used for a trial before, it can't be re-used for another.
You can, however, reactivate your expired free trial and convert it into a new paying subscription by logging into your old account and following the prompts to renew your membership. If you forgot your IMDbPro.com password, you can get a new one by clicking the forgot your password link on the login page.

What is my IMDbPro username?
Your username is the email address supplied when you originally registered with IMDbPro.com.
This is the same email address that received your original activation notice when you signed up. If you don't know which email address you used and you are already logged into IMDbPro, you can go to Account Settings to display your account details. The link to Account Settings can be found by clicking on your name in the top right corner of every page on IMDbPro while you are logged in.
If the email address displayed in Account Settings is incorrect or outdated, use the update your e-mail address link.
If you don't remember your password, click the forgot your password link on the login page to get a new one sent to your email address.
If you forgot your password and your email address is wrong or has changed, you may still be able to retrieve your account details using the Recover Account tool.
We recommend waiting 3-5 minutes after changing your password before attempting to log in again.

I don't know my password. How do I login?
If you joined IMDbPro without using an existing IMDb.com account, you were asked to choose a password. This is the password you will have to use to log in, make changes to your account, etc.
If you joined IMDbPro using your existing IMDb.com account, your IMDb.com account information, including password, is used by default. This lets you access both sites using the same username and password, and stay logged in as you navigate between the two sites.
If you were not prompted to choose a password and don't know/remember your old IMDb.com password, or if you simply forgot which password you've chosen when you signed up, you can get a new one at any time by using the forgot your password link on the login page.
We recommend waiting 3-5 minutes after changing your password before attempting log in again.

I can access IMDbPro from my computer at home but not from the one I use at work. Why?
As long as you provide your correct login information you will have access to the site from any location and computer. The only access restriction we enforce, as detailed in our Subscriber Agreement, is that we prohibit multiple simultaneous accesses from one account: in other words, you can't give your login information to a third party to allow him/her access to IMDbPro using your membership.
If you can access IMDbPro from one computer but not from another, it means that you are correctly logged into your account on the first computer but not the second one. If you log into your account on the second computer too, you will be able to access IMDbPro.
Please note that if you access IMDbPro from a shared computer (i.e. any computer where you are not the only user, like a terminal at your workplace) you must log out after you have finished using the site, or anyone using the same PC will be able to access IMDbPro using your account. IMDbPro users stay logged in until they click the log out button (found in the drop-down menu under your name, in the top right corner of every page on the site).

Why am I told that my account is not valid for IMDbPro?
IMDb.com and IMDbPro.com share several features. Members of IMDbPro.com are automatically registered as IMDb.com users; however, free access to IMDb.com doesn't allow access to IMDbPro.com. You need to be a member to access IMDbPro.com.
If you are seeing that error message, it is because you may currently be registered under two different accounts: one for IMDb.com and one for IMDbPro.com.
The above error message is being displayed because the computer you were using when you tried to access IMDbPro.com is already logged in to IMDb.com under that account (IMDb.com registration doesn't allow access to IMDbPro.com).
To access IMDbPro, please log out and log in again using the email address you used when joining IMDbPro.
If you have forgotten which email address you used to join IMDbPro.com, please contact us and we'll send you a reminder. Please be sure to include enough details to let us identify your account and verify that you are the card holder.
If you do not have a membership for IMDbPro.com, you can sign-up for a 30-day free trial.

I tried to login but I get a message saying that my account is suspended. What does that mean?
An account can be suspended for two reasons:
- Violating the terms of our Subscriber Agreement
- We couldn't charge the subscription fee to the credit card on file
If there is a Subscriber Agreement issue, we will send you an email explaining whatâs wrong and how to restore your access.
If there is a card issue, please access the
Renew Membership page and provide another valid credit card number.

What is the Promo Code field on the signup page?
IMDbPro occasionally runs promotional offers and users need to enter a special code to take advantage of them.
If you received an invitation to sign-up through a promotional offer, the offer included a code. Make sure you type the code in the field on the signup page to take advantage of that particular offer.
If you don't have a promotional code, simply leave that field blank.

Does having IMDbPro offer additional contribution benefits?
No, an IMDbPro subscription does not offer additional contribution benefits. IMDbPro does not guarantee data submissions will be accepted or processed at a quicker rate. Contributing data to IMDb is free and contributions can be done either with a free IMDb.com account or a paid subscription to IMDbPro.com.
