The Producers Guild of America has nominated “Deadpool,” “Arrival,” “Hacksaw Ridge” and “Hell or High Water” as the best-produced films of 2016, an honor that typically means the films are in line to receive Best Picture nominations at this year’s Academy Awards. Oscar frontrunners “La La Land,” “Moonlight” and “Manchester by the Sea” were also nominated by the PGA, as were “Fences,” “Hidden Figures” and “Lion.” Missing from the PGA list: Martin Scorsese’s “Silence,” Jeff Nichols’ “Loving,” Clint Eastwood’s “Sully” and Pablo Larrain’s “Jackie,” among others.
