    William Lewis was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dow Jones and Publisher of The Wall Street Journal in May 2014. He previously served as Chief Creative Officer for News Corp, the parent company of Dow Jones, where he was responsible for the company’s creative strategy and developing new commercial opportunities. Prior to joining News Corp, Mr. Lewis served as Editor-in-Chief of Telegraph Media Group, which he joined in 2005. Under his editorship, The Daily Telegraph was named UK Newspaper of the Year in the 2010 British Press Awards. This followed the paper’s exposure of the parliamentary expenses scandal. Mr. Lewis was also named Journalist of the Year. Mr. Lewis led the team that designed and ran The Telegraph’s acclaimed newsroom, organizing the paper’s move from its previous premises. In 1990, Mr. Lewis graduated from Bristol University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Politics and Economics and completed a postgraduate degree in Periodical Journalism at City University the following year. In July 2010, he was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws from Bristol University and in September 2010 was made Doctor of Letters by the University of Lincoln.

    Gerard Baker is Editor in Chief of The Wall Street Journal and Managing Editor of Dow Jones, roles he assumed on January 1, 2013. Mr. Baker is responsible for all global newsgathering and editorial operations for The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. Mr. Baker previously served as Deputy Editor in Chief of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. Before joining the Journal, Mr. Baker was the U.S. Editor and an Assistant Editor of The Times of London, where he wrote news and commentary. He also oversaw U.S. coverage for both the print and online editions. From 1994 to 2004, Mr. Baker worked for the Financial Times, first as Tokyo Correspondent, and then, from 1998 to 2002, as Washington Bureau Chief. From 2002 to 2004, he was the FT’s Chief U.S. Commentator and an Associate Editor. Prior to the FT, Mr. Baker worked for the BBC from 1988 to 1994 as a producer, then as U.S. producer, and finally as Economics Correspondent for TV and radio. Mr. Baker’s work has appeared in several other publications, and he has been a frequent television and radio contributor around the world. He started his career in the financial sector, first as an analyst at the Bank of England, then as an economist at Lloyds Bank in the City of London. Mr. Baker holds a First Class Honours Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University.

    Anna Sedgley is Chief Financial Officer of Dow Jones, a position she has held since December 2012. In this role, Ms. Sedgley is responsible for the preparing and reporting of the company’s financial performance, managing treasury and taxation matters and providing strategic guidance, forecasts and analytical insight to support business performance. In addition to her role as CFO, Ms. Sedgley heads up the Dow Jones Operations Group and oversees newspaper production and delivery, legal and risk management services as well as facilities and security.   Ms. Sedgley joined Dow Jones in October 2009 as Vice President, Finance, after 10 years at BskyB, now known as Sky, which is part of 21st Century Fox. At Sky she provided financial support for a number of business functions including marketing, circulation, supply chain and technology. Ms. Sedgley began her career as a trainee chartered accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. After qualification, she spent two years working in finance at Debenhams PLC, a leading U.K. department store. She is a graduate of the University of Adelaide, Australia.

    Paul Gigot is Editor, Editorial Page and Vice President of The Wall Street Journal, a position he has held since September 2001. Mr. Gigot is responsible for the newspaper’s editorials, op-ed articles and arts criticism. He also directs the editorial pages of the Journal’s Asian and European editions and the OpinionJournal.com Web site. He is also the host of the weekly half-hour news program, the Journal Editorial Report, on the Fox News Channel. Mr. Gigot joined the Journal in 1980 as a reporter in Chicago, and in 1982 he became the Journal’s Asia correspondent, based in Hong Kong. He won an Overseas Press Club award for his reporting on the Philippines. In 1984, he was named the first editorial page editor of The Asian Wall Street Journal, based in Hong Kong. In 1987, he was assigned to Washington, where he contributed editorials and a weekly column on politics, “Potomac Watch,” which won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for commentary. In 2010 he received the Bradley Prize from the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, which recognizes individuals for “the promotion of liberal democracy, democratic capitalism and the defense of American institutions.” Mr. Gigot currently serves as the chair of the Pulitzer Prize Board.  Mr. Gigot is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

As Global Managing Director, is responsible for Dow Jones’s businesses operating outside of the US.   Prior to joining Dow Jones, Ms. Vanneck-Smith spent seven years as Chief Marketing Officer for News UK, where she oversaw the bringing together of the digital and direct businesses of Customer Direct with the sales and marketing of News UK’s three title brands: The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times. She previously served as Sales and Marketing Director for the Times, and Managing Director of News UK’s Customer Direct group. Before joining News UK, she held the roles of Sales and Marketing Director and Marketing Director at The Daily Telegraph. Ms. Vanneck-Smith sits on the UK-based Digital Media Advisory Board and is a member of Marketing Group of Great Britain and Women in Advertising and Communications. In 2016 she was recognised as Pioneer of the Year at the British Media Awards. Ms. Vanneck-Smith graduated with a Masters degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, St Hugh’s College. She lives in New York with her husband and son.

In this role, Mr. Meller is responsible for the global technology function across all of the company’s products and internal enterprise systems. He joined Dow Jones in June 2014 as Senior Vice President and Head of Technology Platforms. Prior to joining Dow Jones, Mr. Meller spent over three years at Google Inc. He initially served as Head of Enterprise Solutions, Asia Pacific, in his native Australia, and later led the launch of Google’s cloud computing and data analytics offerings in the Eastern United States as Regional Manager, Cloud Platform, based in New York. He previously oversaw the Application Development and System Integration group at SMS Management and Technology, one of Australia’s largest local technology services firms. Mr. Meller began his career in software development and web publishing, and has since held several software engineering, consulting and product development roles. Mr. Meller graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Information Systems.

Ms. Huston holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from The University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Before joining Dow Jones, Mr. Roussel worked at the Telegraph Media Group in London for seven years. As Executive Editor, Digital, Mr. Roussel headed the Telegraph’s website and digital development. He played a key role in reorganizing the newsroom to place digital journalism at its core, introducing new media such as video, e-books and a Flipboard afternoon newspaper. During his tenure, the Telegraph saw record-breaking digital growth and won awards for Consumer Website of the Year and Digital Publisher of the Year by the U.K. Association of Online Publishers. From 1992 to 2004, Mr. Roussel worked as a journalist at Bloomberg, where he served as bureau chief in Brussels, Paris and London. In his final role at Bloomberg, Mr. Roussel oversaw global financial coverage, leading a team of more than 130 reporters and editors in New York, Europe and Asia.

Most recently, Mr. Breen was Vice President at Dow Jones helping News Corp integrate the Move Inc. and Unruly acquisitions from a digital perspective, as well as various client direct engagements. He previously ran the EMEA Consumer Media Division at Thomson Reuters and was Acxiom’s Managing Director for Australia/New Zealand while also sitting on their APAC executive board.

    Jason Conti is General Counsel for Dow Jones, a role he assumed in June 2016. As General Counsel, Mr. Conti oversees the company’s legal department, which includes a team of professionals handling labor and employment, contract and commercial issues, privacy, IP, M&A, litigation, compliance, media law and a variety of other specialties. In addition to his role as General Counsel, Mr. Conti has served as Chief Compliance Officer since 2011. In that role, he has overseen the development of the company’s compliance program, including screening for compliance with international sanctions programs, enforcement of various company policies, including the Dow Jones Code of Conduct, and bolstering internal systems and controls. Mr. Conti joined Dow Jones in 2008 and served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel. In 2013 he took on the role of Deputy General Counsel at Dow Jones, where he managed domestic and international litigation and served as the company’s lead press attorney, working closely with journalists around the globe on a variety of newsroom issues. Before joining Dow Jones Mr. Conti worked at Hogan & Hartson LLP for over five years, where he defended media companies in defamation, privacy and copyright actions. Mr. Conti received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and received his B.A. in Political Science and Government from the University of Virginia.

    Edwin Finn is Editor and President of Barron’s. Mr. Finn first joined Dow Jones in 1980 as a national copyreader for The Wall Street Journal in New York and moved to the foreign desk as an editor in 1981.  From 1984 through 1985, he was a banking and finance reporter in the Journal’s Dallas bureau. In 1986, Mr. Finn joined Forbes magazine as a senior editor, covering international business and finance, and in 1989, he became assistant managing editor.  From 1990 to 1992, he was editor of American Banker, a daily trade newspaper. He rejoined Dow Jones in March 1993 as managing editor of Barron’s, and in May 1995, he was named editor of the magazine.  He assumed additional responsibilities as president of Barron’s in January 1998. In the late 1970s, Mr. Finn was managing editor of the daily Southbridge News and assistant managing editor of the weekly Blackstone Valley Tribune, both in his home state of Massachusetts. Mr. Finn earned a bachelor’s degree in English and political science from Tufts University and a master’s degree in international banking and finance from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

He is responsible for the group’s editorial operations as well as its P&L. In a career at Dow Jones spanning seven countries on three continents, Mr. Latour has continuously bolstered the company’s digital depth and global breadth. He editorially oversaw two major redesigns for The Wall Street Journal’s website, launched numerous successful international and U.S. blogs, revamped The Chinese Wall Street Journal and kicked off The Wall Street Journal in Japan. Before his promotion to publisher, Mr. Latour was executive editor for The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, responsible for unifying the editorial staff into a single global newsroom and transitioning The Journal to a digitally-driven news operation. He was also Editor in Chief for The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires in Asia, where he expanded the publishing company’s digital footprint. Prior to his time in Asia, Mr. Latour was managing editor of The Wall Street Journal Online, where he expanded coverage of business and markets, as well as personal finance, sports, travel and multimedia storytelling, and oversaw a major redesign of the site in September 2008. He served as bureau chief at the Journal’s technology group in New York and as deputy bureau chief. In March 2005, he won the World Leadership Forum’s business journalism award for “Best Story of Business Leadership” for his coverage of the oil industry. Mr. Latour worked as a staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal in New York and as a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal Europe in London, Stockholm and Brussels.  He has covered Central and Eastern Europe, the Internet bubble, and numerous other topics, and written for one of The Wall Street Journal Europe’s magazines. He started as a news assistant at the Journal’s Washington, D.C. bureau. A native of The Netherlands, he lives in New York.

    Chaz Repak was named Senior Vice President, Global Real Estate, Facilities and Security in November 2015. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing a network of nearly 80 offices in more than 40 countries. He has run Global Real Estate and Facilities for Dow Jones since February 2014. A 23-year Dow Jones veteran, Mr. Repak spent more than two decades in the News department. From 1992 through 1999, he served as a spot news reporter and editor in New York and Singapore. During that time, he wrote a spot news stylebook for the Dow Jones News Service in 1995, and the second edition of the Dow Jones Newswires Stylebook in 1998. Mr. Repak moved to the operations side in 2000, as Asia-Pacific Operations Editor for Dow Jones Newswires in Singapore from 2000 through 2002, then as Newswires’ Americas, later Global, Operations Editor from 2003 through 2012. In 2012, he served on the planning committee that created a recommendation for merging the news staffs of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires into a single, unified team. In 2013 he served as Deputy Operations Editor for The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Repak graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in international relations.

Prior to Hearst, Mr. Rosenfeld spent several years at Gruner + Jahr Publishing, as the business manager of Parents Magazine. Mr. Rosenfeld began his career working for the United States government at the US embassy in Moscow. He graduated from Boston University and did post-graduate work at the Stockholm University in Sweden.

She started her career in the information industry when she joined Reuters as a news indexer in 1998. Ms. Verschuren holds an M.A. in Latin American Languages and Cultures from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.

He worked as a technology and managerial consultant in Stockholm from 1993 to 1995 and for IDAB’s production and project management from 1990 to 1993. From 1980 to 1990 he worked for the U.S. Navy as an electronic warfare specialist. Mr. Vincent serves on the Board of Directors for the International Newspaper Group (ING) and is a member of Hofstra University’s Herbert School Advisory Council. Mr. Vincent has a masters in business administration from Hofstra University and a bachelors in psychology from Regents College.

Leading an international team, she spearheads strategy and brand marketing, subscriptions and circulation, events and the membership loyalty program, WSJ+. She assumed the role in November 2014 and launched WSJ’s first brand campaign in seven years in February 2015. With more than a decade of experience in the media industry, Ms. Watford joined Dow Jones from News UK. Most recently, she served as Sales and Marketing Director for The Times and The Sunday Times, where she established and led the move from subscriptions to memberships. Prior, Ms. Watford was responsible for Partnerships and Loyalty before taking on the wider role of also overseeing brand extensions across News UK.

    Jonny Wright was appointed Managing Director International of Dow Jones in January 2016. He previously served as Managing Director APAC and Publisher of Financial News and WSJ Pro. Mr. Wright is responsible for defining and implementing growth strategies for The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones outside the United States. Mr. Wright is based in Hong Kong. Previously, Mr. Wright was Circulation Director in Europe for The Wall Street Journal, a role he held from January 2013. Mr. Wright first joined Dow Jones in 2010 as Advertising Sales Director for Dow Jones’ Financial News. Before joining the Dow Jones, he was Publisher and Group Sales Director at Euromoney Institutional Investor based in New York.

Our Goals

  • Reduce absolute carbon emissions 40% by 2016 (compared to 2006 baseline)
  • Secure new office leases at facilities using renewable energy and/or that are LEED, BREEAM or similar certified

  • Continue to lead the discussion where business and the environment intersect via the ECO:nomics conference
  • By 2020, 90% of our globally purchased paper will be sourced from full chain of custody certified sources or recycled material.
