The British Soap Awards 2008
24 May 2010 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

I am a fan of only two soaps, Coronation Street and EastEnders, but I am always going to watch this programme, hosted by Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield, to see if anything interesting has happened in Doctors, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. I always want to agree with the awards that are given according to the clips/photos shown, and that is what I also enjoy, watching back on the past year. For me in 2008 the highlights were Vera Duckworth dying in Corrie, Dot having a whole episode of EE to herself, Max buried alive by Tanya in EE and Bianca returning to EE. EE and Corrie won the awards they deserved, as they are the much better of the five. The awards I always look forward to are Best Soap Actor and Actress, Best Exit, Best Villain, Best Single Episode, Best Storyline, and of course, Soap of the Year. Very good!
