‘Nocturnal Animals’ Review: A High-Art Thriller From A High-Art Director

When fashion designer Tom Ford makes a movie, you can expect a few things: It will look good, it will get people talking, and it will stay with you long after the final credits have rolled. You know, just like good fashion. In Nocturnal Animals, Ford takes the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright and adapts it to the big screen with Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal carrying the load of the work, and Michael Shannon doing what he does best by absolutely killing it in a supporting role.

Nocturnal Animals is the story of Susan (Adams), the director of a hot new L.A. art gallery, who happens to be in a loveless marriage to Hutton (Armie Hammer). One day she receives a proof of a novel written by her ex-husband, Edward (Gyllenhaal), called "Nocturnal Animals," which was the nickname that Edward gave her when they were together. »

‘Office Christmas Party’ Review: It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Debauchery

Office Christmas parties are usually drab, insipid affairs that feature little-to-no alcohol, terrible white elephant-type gifts, and the constant specter of your boss or supervisor judging your every move, even if the party is after-hours and off site. To put it bluntly, most office christmas parties suck. In the new film Office Christmas Party, that sometimes dull year-end event is thrown out on its ass, and the party is taken to 11 and beyond when the employees know that there may be no tomorrow for their company.

Office Christmas Party stars T.J. Miller and Jennifer Aniston as siblings who run their late father's data management company. Carol Vanstone (Aniston) wants to be named CEO, and is working to shut down ineffective branches across the country. Clay Vanstone (Miller) runs the Chicago branch -- the same branch their late father started -- and with the help of his Cto Josh (Jason Bateman »

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is almost here. The first of at least three standalone Star Wars films finally moves into firing position tonight and a hefty box office haul, most likely the biggest opening night this year, is imminent.

Lucasfilm and Disney have been steadily doling out Star Wars: Rogue One TV spots over the past month with each new spot containing a few new snippets of footage. That trend continues today with a new spot aptly titled 'Tonight.'

You've likely seen almost all of the footage in this new TV spot that's previously aired in other spots and trailers. There are a couple brief new looks from the final act where the Rebellion makes a big push against the Empire to acquire the Death Star plans.

‘Fallout’ Mash-Up Pack Coming to ‘Minecraft: Console Editions’ This Month

Later this month a Fallout Mash-Up Pack is coming to Minecraft: Console Editions including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. An exact date remains elusive yet considering the month has two weeks left I'd expect an announcement within the next few days.

The Fallout Mash-Up Pack is more than merely a reskinning of the overworld. Yes, the overworld has been chiseled into a bleak wasteland ripe for exploration and you'll have a whopping 44 skins to choose from including Vault Boy; Fawkes the philosophical supermutant; robo-sleuth, Nick Valentine; Tinker Tom; Paladin Cross; and Jangles The Moon Monkey.

The Minecraft team went a step further and reworked the AI a "a retro-futuristic overhaul in honor of the Pip-Boy." What does that mean? We'll have to wait until the Fallout Mash-Up Pack drops to find out.

You'll be able to pick up the Fallout Mash-Up Pack on a to-be-announced »

‘Marvel Heroes 2016’ is a Winning Theme for Online Games

Marvel Heroes 2016, as it has been renamed, continues to be a powerhouse online gaming platform from Gazillion Entertainment and Secret Identity Studios. Since Marvel has been on a winning streak for a long time with all of its films, that shouldn't surprise anyone.

Marvel's own cultural winning streak's birth is debatable depending on who you ask. Some suggest it began in the 1980's while others align it to the 2000's.

A truly sensitive and intriguing portrayal of the X-Men put Marvel on the cultural map during the 1980's. This is when the idea that the X-Men worked as a metaphor for oppressed minorities in society really took hold.

Of course, comparatively few people actually read the X-Men comics in the 1980's, even if they were hits by the standards of much smaller "geek" media from the time. Compared to the huge X-Men movie franchise of the 2000's, many people would »

‘Let It Die’ Review: Death Is Inevitable

14 December 2016 6:31 AM, PST

Let It Die, from developer Grasshopper Manufacture, is a free-to-play game unlike any other. Players level up different characters using insane weapons and gory finishers in a “rogue-combat” style of play, similar to the Dark Souls games. In 2026, the earth is decimated by tectonic forces and a mysterious tower appears and seems to reach to the heavens. Now you must take control of various avatars and fight your way through each floor, climbing higher and higher into the unknown.

From the mind of Goichi “Suda51” Suda, creator of cult favorites such as Killer7, Lollipop Chainsaw, and Killer is Dead, Let It Die is a dark, bloody, and hilariously good time. If you enjoyed any of his previous games, you likely have a dark sense of humor, and Let It Die is more of the same.

After the awesome intro with voice work from Mark Hamill, players are introduced to Let It Die’s mascot, »

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Review: Pulling The Curtain Back

13 December 2016 9:00 AM, PST

There are many precedents at work in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It's the first ever true stand-alone Star Wars film, one not tied to roman numerals, the Jedi, and the Skywalker family. It's the first that doesn't open with a crawl of any kind. And it's also the first to not be scored by John Williams. Even without Skywalkers, wordy crawls, and the iconic fanfare, Rogue One still feels like a Star Wars film. And the intense action on-screen, coupled with some very interesting ties to the films that came before, makes this easily one of the best Star Wars films ever.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is essentially the story of how the rebel alliance got their hands on the Death Star plans, an event that opened the entire saga back in May of 1977 when Darth Vader's Star Destroyer overtook Bail Organa's Corellian Corvette in orbit above Tatooine. »

Watch The Walking Dead Season 7 Midseason Finale Live Streaming: Episode 708 Online ‘Hearts Still Beating’ on AMC Network

12 December 2016 6:35 AM, PST

Tonight's The Walking Dead Season 7 midseason finale could start to bring together some of the scattered stories that have transpired since Negan's murderous spree in the premiere. Find out where to watch The Walking Dead Season 7 midseason finale online live streaming tonight or on Amazon after it wraps up a supersized 90 minutes worth of Twd.

Carol, Morgan and everyone at The Kingdom have been sidelined since the second episode of the season. That will change tonight as at least Carol and Morgan will resurface and hopefully lead King Ezekiel toward another of Negan's settlements.

After last week's episode we have to wonder what will happen to Carl. Some think Negan will make an example of him and Rick's woes will run deeper into blood family. Others think Carl will become Negan's new toy, allowing Daryl to escape from his watchful eye.

If someone meets Negan's bat tonight then Spencer is looking like a solid candidate. »
