Hamajima is a quiet, hard-working man, whose life changes drastically when he reunites with a lovely childhood friend and her strange little boy.
This is a 70s film about a middle-aged Japanese Salaryman (Hamajima) who is not quite satisfied with his life. He is a good husband, kind of shy, and has a regular old job as a travel agent. One day, a beautiful lady (Taiko) recognizes him and they start talking on the bus. It turns out that the lady is his childhood friend from his hometown. Soon, they start developing a love interest.
Taiko is a widow and lives with her 6 year old son (Ken-Chan) in a small house, and Hamajima starts spending more and more time with Taiko and Ken-Chan, coming over evenings for dinner after work and even on weekends. After awhile, Hamajima begins to suspect and believe that the 6-year-old Ken-Chan wants to harm and perhaps kill Hamajima. Is it just his imagination? Or is it real? Then, Hamajima's secret past starts revealing itself...
Very impressive story and good cinematography! The music also adds a lot more flavor to this film. It's a combination of retro Japanese, groovy sleazy lounge atmosphere, and even sounds kind of European as well. This film also contains some nudity. Very artistic film.
