As part of a deal with ABC, Larry agrees to attend a screening of a new miniseries. At the after-party, Larry finds that the bathroom doors have no locks, so he goes to use the upstairs bathroom, and the network exec's daughter asks him to cut the hair off her doll's head. "The Doll" is an extremely entertaining and well scripted episode of the second series, directed by "Curb" regular Robert B. Weide. With Larry causing mayhem in the most cringe-worthy fashion, this mid-season episode deserved to be the season finale.
There's more than a little of Larry David in me and I can't help but empathise with his plight in some episodes. In "The Doll", his inability to see the possible consequences of his actions is both amusing and painful (in a good way).
The cast are as excellent as ever and they make even the most far-fetched scenes seem believable. The "fly on the wall" experience of watching "Curb" is comedy heaven.
10 out of 10. Without a doubt, "Curb" is the best comedy show in production today. Long may it continue.
