Great single player story, multiplayer is ok i guess

I binged the whole gears series, for never playing before I really like the story. Gears 4 solo campain is really good, just about the same length as part 1. The multiplayer is ok, though if you want to use any weapon other than a shotgun your not going to win. Even then be prepared to shoot 6x and do 17% damage your foe will always 1x 100% damage. The game has alot of microtransactions, and they cost way too much. Not worth buying them honestly. the game looks well made runs great not that long load times, and the multiplayer runs smoothly. The art looks fantastic too.

Great Game.. for an xbox

I love the gears series! They are my favorite. The only problem is, if you are looking forward to playing online on pc just go ahead and throw that wish out. The online is dead. They recently added a cross platform versus for a weekend and online was fun again. Finding a game was easy. It was amazing. Then they took it away... Now its back to being dead.

Wow what a campaign

Give this game a chance, the first few chapters start a little short but once the game hits nightfall you'll fall in love with this game. The story mode in this game is fantastic, it's a lot of fun and the shootouts are some of the best in a gears game. The dialogue between Kait JD and Del is enjoyable to listen to while gunning down thousands upon thousands of swarm. I finished it in a day that's how enjoyable the campaign was, overall I completed the campaign in five hours and 34 minutes, you'll probably take longer if you play on a harder difficulty. The campaign might not be as enjoyable if you haven't played through any of the other gears games, I'd suggest you at least play through Gears of War: Ultimate Edition first just to learn about the world of Gears, if not then there are lots of videos on YouTube that'll explain the story before you get into Gears of War 4, playing through the games in order will definitely make this campaign really special though.

Broken Multiplayer

Recently bought the game and Iwas hoping to have a fair balanced Gears game as all the other games were in the franchise but instead what i got was a broken POS gnasher duels dont make sense everyone. plays as the deebees or female/skinny characters in return makes for unfair gameplay when its hitboxes arent balanced I dont care for the campaign either due to lackluster story and design so far this game has very little redemming qualties coming from a long time gears fan I say that this the weakest in the main series excluding judgement

Fun game!

Love the series and happy they decided to share this with the PC players. One of the best optimized ports seen to date. Hope to see more exclusive console games come to PC. Cross platform would be great, and if console players feel like it's unfair for us to use mouse & keyboard, force PC players to use a controller that there is a bigger multiplayer fan base. Anyway keep up the good work Microsoft, and developers.

Addicting and Versatile❤🔥

i just wanna start by saying to the people who haven't bought it, its not what you think it is. people just record gameplay of them slaughtering people with the gnasher shotgun cause thats all they're good at. now on to you. you definetly do not only have to use a shotgun to win, and at that you have many other guns +executions very satisfying👌⚔ as far as campaign it aint too good and seems repetitive haven't tried horde only cause it just seemed confusing but probably fun😁👍 multiplayer will keep you drooling and addicted hands down👏😵😵

Ok game, total pain in the behind to play

The game itself is ok. Would be worth getting, but it is such a chore to actually open to play that it's just not worth it. The Windows Store ruins it. You can't backup your saves, it requires the internet even for single player, and updates are mandatory which will have you wait 15-20 mins before opening. Save yourself some massive headaches and aggravation and just don't get this game. Actually you should pass on any game in the windows store because they will probably have the same problems. Good riddens.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

The campaign is too much like playing hourde, which is why I didn't like JUDGMENT. Too much nickle and dimeing with add ons, maps and season passes. When you pay 60 dollars for game, you should get any upgrades, dlc, and new campaigns free. I do hope everyone agrees that its time for the gaming industry and Microsoft to start giving back to the gamers like myself who are sick of the PRICE GOUGING. How much profit is enough and how many customers do you have to lose before you will start to address these issues? I imagine that no one really cares anyway.

Could have done better 😒

Coming from a gears of war fan, this game doesn't live up to the hype this game recieved. The campaign in my opinion felt like it was rushed and didn't have much effort put into it. To me it was petty compared to the other games in the franchise. It also felt a bit too short. The Coalition put WAY too much work in the multiplayer aspect of the game which led to the problem I have with this game. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it, but I just think this game was just a way to leech of fans who wanted another GOW game. Especially with the packs that are used to reel up money, in my opinion they should have done what GOW 3 did. You finish the campaign, earn skins and characters depending on the difficulty of the task. Where in GOW 4, EVERYTHING IS REQUIRED TO BUY AND BASICALLY HAVE TO TEST YOUR LUCK!!! Hopefully they fix all these problems in the next game...... this beloved game has slowly been deteriorating ever since Cliffy left. 😢

Whiny entitled brats, this game rules!❤

No, it's not worth $100...for the game alone...but that's not what you're paying for are you, season pass holders and network players using servers that aren't yours. Good god get over yourselves. This was probably the best installment. Not all the new weapons were good adds, but overall, I love the campaign and new grubs. The high speed action missions were a great add. Stop whining about how much skins cost and be better with your money. 5 stars and a "grow up haters"
