From the movie review site The GoodTheBadandTheUgly.Ca, take a look @ "the good, the bad and the ugly" in director Scott Derrickson's Marvel Studios' feature "Doctor Strange", starring Benedict Cumberbatch:

Michael Stevens/SneakPeek.Ca For The Good

"'By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth', as an early fan of "Marvel Comics' 'Strange Tales", I was more than willing to 'open my mind to the endless impossibilities' of the IMAX 3D world of 'Doctor Strange'.

"...immediately entranced  by the M.C. Escher-like VFX, complete with loopy, angled landscapes and bending skylines...

"...amused by droll Benedict Cumberbatch as 'Stephen Strange'...

"...chilled by madman Mads Mikkelsen as 'Kaecilius'...

"...and enlightened by the radiant Tilda Swinton as 'The Ancient One'.

"'By The Shades Of The Seraphim', I also enjoyed the sentient 'Cloak Of Levitation'...

‘Wedding Crashers 2’ Movie in the Works at New Line

7 hours ago | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

New Line is in early development of a sequel to its 2005 hit “Wedding Crashers,” and has tapped the “Fist Fight” team of Evan Susser and Van Robichaux to write the script.

Isla Fisher — who appeared in the original — revealed that New Line was developing the sequel during a Nov. 18 interview on the “Today” show while she was discussing her role in Tom Ford’s drama “Nocturnal Animals.”

Fisher said Vince Vaughn told her at a recent party that the sequel was in the works but had no other details. The original, which grossed $285 million worldwide on a $40 million budget, centered on Vaughn and Owen Wilson playing divorce mediators crashing weddings to meet women and concluded with Vaughn’s character marrying Fisher’s character.

New Line hasn’t made deals for the sequel with stars Vaughn, Wilson, Fisher Rachel McAdams, Bradley Cooper or Will Ferrell, nor with director David Dobkin.

Wedding Crashers 2 Script Finished, Original Director May Return

8 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last week, fans of unnecessary long-in-the-tooth comedy sequels, like the disappointing Zoolander 2 and Anchorman 2, became mildly enthusiastic when they heard Wedding Crashers 2 might actually happen. While the follow-up to the 2005 blockbuster smash hasn't been officially confirmed, the script was recently turned in. And the original director is expected to return.

Isla Fisher, wife of comedy icon Sacha Baron Cohen, made waves last week when she revealed that Wedding Crashers 2 was officially happening. How did she know? Because Vince Vaughn told her to get ready. But there was no official word about the sequel until today. Deadline claims to have the real scoop as to what is going on.

Right now, Wedding Crashers 2 is nowhere near getting a green light from New Line Studios. But that doesn't mean this is another lofty rumor. The main cast, led by Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, need to sign off creatively on the project. »

McAdams couldn’t be more excited to make her audiobook debut with her own childhood favorite. “It’s just a very transporting book, I think,” she said in a behind-the-scenes look at the recording studio. “It takes you back to a time when things were simpler.

“I wanted to be Anne as a little girl,” McAdams continued. “She’s a really strong female character, but not in a typical way.”

Wedding Crashers 2 is in development

Simon Brew Nov 18, 2016

Isla Fisher reveals that a follow-up to 2005's Wedding Crashers is finally happening...

Didn’t see this one coming.

Starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, Wedding Crashers was a sizeable hit when it landed in cinemas back in 2005. The R-rated comedy, that co-starred Isla Fisher, Rachel McAdams, Christopher Walken and Bradley Cooper, grossed just shy of $300m at the global box office. Not bad for a movie with a modest $40m budget.

It helps that Wedding Crashers was and is funny, and it came at a point in Vince Vaughn’s career where his eye for a comedy script was a lot sharper that it would in the ensuing years.

It was something of a surprise that a sequel wasn’t ordered in the aftermath of the original film’s success. But now, 11 years later, we learn that a follow-up is finally on the cards.

While promoting her new film Nocturnal Animals, Isla Fisher revealed that a sequel is actually still in the works.

Just months after the original comedy hit theaters, we reported in September 2005 that a Wedding Crashers sequel was in the works, with Steve Faber, who co-wrote the original movie with Bob Fisher, coming aboard to write the script. That news was never confirmed by the studio, originating from an interview with Wedding Crashers star Jane Seymour, who was told by the writer that a sequel was happening, »

Doctor Strange is Marvel's most unlikable superhero to date

7 November 2016 2:24 PM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

On the whole, I liked Doctor Strange, the movie. But I would have liked it a lot more if I had liked Dr. Strange, the person. He's pretty terrible, did you notice? Let me preface this by saying I'm a comic book person, but I've never read a Doctor Strange comic so that factors into my opinions on the film and its main character. If that bothers you, maybe stop reading now instead of harping on me for not reading the comics. You shouldn't have to have read the comics to understand Marvel's films (or any adaptations for that matter). [Some small spoilers to follow for Doctor Strange.] Ok, we good? Disney and Marvel's Doctor Strange was number one this weekend with a $84.9 million box office take domestically, making it the tenth largest openings for an McU film. As far as the solo outings are concerned, it did better than the first Captain America, Thor, and Ant-Man films »
