The Buzz: It will be emotional for some viewers to remember the Kennedy Era White House as the Obama Administration comes to an end, but we are anticipating Natalie Portman's performance, which could be her most psychologically intense work since Black Swan. Also looking forward to watching director Pablo Larraín's profile rise in the U.S.; he also has the drama Neruda with Gael García Bernal and Luis Gnecco out this month.

Certificate PG-13   -   Horror | Thriller

The Buzz: Here's hoping that Carice van Houten and Aaron Eckhart are in complete scenery chewing mode since this movie feels pieced together from any number of horror and sci-fi films. Interesting that this is director Brad Peyton's follow-up to San Andreas.

The Buzz: With a trailer that's five times more frightening than any "AHS: Roanoke" episode and polarizing critical response, I feel powerless against the pull of this black-and-white nightmare created by first-time director Nicolas Pesce. We're also pro Pesce because he wrote up a list of his favorite B&W; horror movies for us. - Arno
