Finally there are the lawyers that make you question the entire legal profession – wait, actually that's most of them. We don't have the time or space to make that list right now.

Love them or hate them, lawyers serve a vital purpose in our litigious society.

There are bound to be lawyers I forgot, so don't hesitate to add your favorites in the comments.

The Lego Batman Movie Releases Surprisingly Informative Images

5 February 2017 10:05 AM, PST | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

The Lego Batman Movie hits next week, and while the film probably doesn’t need a lot of marketing boost, a new set of images actually give you a lot of information about the who, where, what, and whys of the film.

As the trailers and TV spots have trickled out over the last few months, and really, how many did you need, you still didn’t get a lot of details about what the movie would focus on specifically. Sure, you had Alfred questioning Bruce’s life choices, and we saw Robin getting a little nutty, but there’s a lot of time in a film. The official synopsis lets us in on the fact that we’re battling The Joker, and that Batman may have to work with others, but what exactly is going on, and will the film in any way address the big reveal of the first film, »

The Most Inspiring Actresses Blazing a Trail on TV Today — IndieWire Critics Survey

31 January 2017 8:33 AM, PST | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)

This week’s question: Which actress is blazing a trail for those who follow her? (Editor’s Note: This question was inspired by the recent loss of Mary Tyler Moore.)

Allison Keene (@KeeneTV), Collider

The first person who came to mind for me is Constance Wu. She’s not only starring in the first successful* American sitcom focused on an Asian family (*apologies to Margaret Cho!) in “Fresh Off the Boat,” but she was an early standout and favorite for viewers because of her charm and comedic chops.

Yet Wu is also very vocal on social media, speaking out on behalf of causes that matter to her. Recently, she mentioned how she was being cautioned, »

Exclusive Interview: Director Chris McKay and Producer Dan Lin on The Lego Batman Movie

30 January 2017 5:45 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Thomas Harris chats with Chris McKay and Dan Lin about The Lego Batman Movie (some minor spoilers follow)…

I had the pleasure to talk to Chris McKay and producer Dan Lin about the rather brilliant The Lego Batman Movie. A quick note on director McKay who, looking like a Williamsburg hipster, had Batman and Marvel tattoos across both arms. A clear super-fan then; who better to direct a film distilling 78 years of comic folklore into 90 minutes?

First off, Michael Jackson (Mj is mentioned a lot throughout the movie), why Michael Jackson?

McKay: You’re dealing with a movie about a guy who is being forced to realise he needs to change his life if he wants to improve and get over his main problem. Initially it started because we wanted a quote in the beginning of the movie because I thought that’d be funny as a self important Batman »

‘Arrested Development’ Plotting Another High Concept Storyline For Season 5

24 January 2017 1:42 PM, PST | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

Once upon a time, “Arrested Development” was a little gem on Fox that nobody was watching, but managed enough cult appeal to last three seasons before being yanked. While the series itself was ambitiously plotted, what made it work so well was quite simple: strong writing coupled with great performances and chemistry from Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Jessica Walter, Portia de Rossi and Alia Shawkat.

Arrested Development Season 5 May Be Part Prequel

23 January 2017 4:58 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Premiering back in 2003, Arrested Development was unfortunately too far ahead of its time. Despite its absolute comedic brilliance and wacky yet addictive sense of absurdism, the show just never caught on and unfortunately, didn’t make it past 3 seasons. It did, however, find itself with a huge cult following. As such, it wasn’t terribly surprising when Netflix revived it in 2013.

Though hardly a complete failure, the fourth outing for the series certainly wasn’t as impressive as what had come before. It was a bit of a disappointment for fans who had waited so long to see the Bluths back on screen, but the numbers were still strong enough for the streaming service to give the go ahead to a fifth season. That was several years ago, and to date, it still hasn’t arrived.

Rest assured though, progress is being made. The latest update on the status of »

Get ready to see the Bluth clan like you’ve never seen them before — and we mean that literally.

Although Netflix declined to confirm/comment, TVLine has learned exclusively that Arrested Development‘s long-gestating fifth season will likely have a major prequel element, with potentially half of the action unfolding in flashbacks featuring much younger versions of all the principal characters (played by different actors).

The move, which an insider notes isn’t entirely set in stone, would go a long way in clearing Season 5’s major scheduling hurdle (i.e. corralling the insanely busy cast at the same time »
