In Monday’s statement, issued in Italian, Bertolucci said: “I would like, for the last time, to clear up a ridiculous misunderstanding that continues to generate press reports about ‘Last Tango in Paris’ around the world.”

Scandal-plagued comedian Bill Cosby was dealt a heavy blow in the looming sexual assault trial against him, as a judge ordered that potentially damaging deposition testimony that Cosby gave in 2005 and 2006 can be used in the case. However, in an order handed down Monday, Judge Steven. T. O’Neill shot down that line of argument. Also Read: Bill Cosby-Inspired Legislation Signed Into Law by. »

‘How to Train Your Dragon 3’ Release Pushed Back a Year

1 hour ago | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

It will take a little longer for “How to Train Your Dragon 3” to fly into theaters.

The sequel in the popular animated franchise hits theaters on March 1, 2019, nearly a year after it was originally slated for release, DreamWorks Animation said Monday. That gives it a one-week jump on “Captain Marvel,” a comic-book adventure featuring Brie Larson. “How to Train Your Dragon 3” was originally supposed to open on May 18, 2018. That would have put it a week before a Han Solo, “Star Wars” spinoff film.

Director Dean DeBlois, who oversaw the previous two “Dragon” films, will return for the sequel.

(Some minor spoilers for the season 1 finale of “Westworld” are below.) Late in Sunday’s “Westworld” finale some of our characters wandered through a section of the park’s administration facility we hadn’t seen before. Here we saw hosts dressed as samurai — obviously, these are not Westworld hosts. The implication here is either that there are other themed parks in existence or Delos, the company that owns Westworld, is preparing to start up a new one with feudal Japan as its theme. TV Review: ‘Shut Eye’ on Hulu

1 hour ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on those inside storefronts that advertise the services of psychics, “Shut Eye” does a good job of breaking down their rituals and scams. Those elements of the Hulu drama give it a bit of raffish flair, but premonitions about where the story is headed are a little too easy to come by. Despite a magnetic performance from its lead actor, it’s not difficult to see “Shut Eye’s” rather predictable trajectory.

Jeffrey Donovan played a spy who frequently resorted to subterfuge in the long-running USA show “Burn Notice,” which did a consistently fine job of capitalizing on his ability to play a cynical, conflicted man who can’t quite resist the urge to do the right thing. Now — following his entertaining transformation into a stubborn, beefy Midwestern thug in the second season of “Fargo” — Donovan is once again playing a character whose gifts for mimicry and charm are used »
