The Buzz: Two years after Whiplash Damien Chazelle returns with another Oscar candidate that has transfixed nearly every audience it has performed for, and we admit it's sweet to see people so charmed by a modern-day Los Angeles romance. Since you really can't say "Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling have never been better," it might be more grounded to say that their work here will go down as some of the finest work of their respective careers. Since Hollywood tends to love to celebrate itself, it might be tough to top this in the Best Picture race, but more than anything we're looking forward to watching more and more audiences fall in love with a mix of classic and contemporary filmmaking.

Certificate R   -   Comedy

When his uptight CEO sister threatens to shut down his branch, the branch manager throws an epic Christmas party in order to land a big client and save the day, but the party gets way out of hand...

The Buzz: A welcome theme of putting people over profits and the dynamic between this stacked cast help make Office Christmas Party a well-timed holiday comedy that serves as a perfect 90-minute distraction from anything that might be ailing you. The couple gross-out gags are rather memorable, but we'd love to see a movie that allows people like T.J. Miller and Kate McKinnon to fully let loose and get as weird as possible.

Certificate Unrated   -   Comedy | Crime | Romance

The Buzz: Despite an early reveal about how the story might unfurl, it's a thrill to watch Jessica Chastain ice out her enemies and allies alike as she single handedly looks to take down an entrenched political system. And with only a few key scenes, Alison Pill turns in quite a performance as well.

Certificate Unrated   -   Documentary

What we know today about many famous musicians, politicians, and actresses is due to the famous work of photographer Harry Benson. He captured vibrant and intimate photos of the most famous band in history; The Beatles. His extensive portfolio grew to include iconic photos of Muhammad Ali, Michael Jackson, and Dr. Martin Luther King. His wide-ranging work has appeared in publications including Life, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker. Benson, now 86, is still taking photos and has no intentions of stopping.

The Buzz: If there was a larger-than-life public figure or unforgettable cultural event from the last half century, chances are photographer Harry Benson captured it with an image you find familiar. I'm looking forward to learning more about a man whose eyes and empathy for his subjects have influenced our memories. - Bret
